Of courae.
I wonder how much influence Biech has had training the scouts.with the no travel no fans. Scouting is done a whole lot differently now. - VANTEL
This year it is. Not a whole lot to scout this year so far though. |

Just checked my notes, you didn't say anything about that trade, because you were busy ranting about the loss of Gudbranson. - Reubenkincade

It would be fitting if Sedins/Burrows were coaching for the cup run...
Maybe Kesler could run the D... - LordHumungous
Ohlund, Kesler should take maholtras job as faceoffs specialist. |

Alex frickin Edler is seven points away from being #10 in all-time Vancouver Canucks scoring - Pacificgem
Wow, that's awesome, I know he never peaked like we'd hoped but he's been a solid player for a long time for us. |

This year it is. Not a whole lot to scout this year so far though. - manvanfan
I know this isn't scouting related but two things I would keep an eye on this year are TDL acquisition and an offseason trade.
There is going to be some serious cap issues next year ( sorry not Canucks) .Teams like Vegas TB Tor and a few other teams with serious cap issues so somewhere there are more Schmidt like trades waiting to happen. Some teams have no choice other than to move big salary.
The second thing is a TDL with a expansion draft attached to it. This is another opportunity to pick up a very decent forward that a team can not protect . Let's face it we know Sutter will have his usual TDL LTIR to give you the 4.5 mil space to get your forward and then magically be ready for the playoffs
A team can pick up a good player to head into the playoffs. |

Lol, I think the back injury really (frank)ed up his prime years, he's still as solid as a rock for us. Probably our best all time defensemen right now. Hughes will pass him if he plays his whole career here.
I still want them to get Jack somehow... |

Might be the drugs talking, but you've been quite reasonable since you came back, I hate to say it but kudos, it's much better here without the vitriol.
Not meant to be a dig but it was getting gross before the break, thanks for civility, I still hate you with a passion usually saved for hemeroids and taxes....
Good post.... here I am, agreeing with you again, maybe that's why we don't get along...... |

As much as I dislike the whale, the crest is not offensive to any of the 1st Nations I live amongst, they are actually proud of the crest. |

Good article, I really really like Holtbys helmet, it was read and I'm disappointed he isn't going to use it, hopefully the SJW people are appeased and he can get the same design drafted and painted in time for the season to begin...
Again, that helmet kicked ass, is like to see pads matching the pattern. |

Some teams will be worse off than others for the cap.
Playoff teams might not be willing to give up players at the TDL. Most non playoff teams probably won't have much trouble trying to figure out who to protect
Might be different this year though, players with expiring contracts might be worth more. |

Yeah I was thinking if a guy like Danault as an example if Montreal are not doing well or Jordan Greenway . Just examples |

Well everything is coming to the reality of hybrid bubbles to start the season. ELCs players and Taxi Squads as needs too
Now what about the rules on reserve list players for playoff eligibility...and the TDL. That would give incentive for the Canucks not to spend if they can bring in Podz and Tree. |
