That should probably change because the word generational comes once a generation. Elite players make up 1 position of 3 on first lines. Maybe 2 if you're lucky.
So youre basically saying there is maybe 30 first line players in the league? out of the 93 that play the positions. - manvanfan
I’m saying many D prospects can be top 4 & few C’s are true 1C’s but many can be a 2C. Many are played as a 1C by default but are elite 2C’s. Wingers vary & snipers become 1st liners getting PP goals/pts. Few are play drivers other than Kane & Panarin. Marchand is the best example of a do it all winger.
Summary: 1st liners are difference makers & a threat any time on the ice. So maybe 50-60 imo are true elite 1st liners. |

Hopefully he's got more then just hype behind him like Aatu Raty.
After world juniors last year, I couldn't understand how Raty was touted as a potential first overall pick.
I don't know how Bob and scouts put him in there top 10 this year. - manvanfan
Bob does consensus only but I 100% agree. |

Alex Steen is going to retire. 1 year left at 5.75. Probably just LTIR for the year. Cap space for STL.
I'm thinking that Luo doesn't deserve the ring of honour for his cap recapture penalty. - manvanfan
Agree about Luongo. He pissed me off. |

Side note: I deleted my Twitter the other day, after reading all the pure stupidity regarding the Holtby supposed mask controversy I just couldn't continue. It's purely by chance humans somehow got to the top of the food chain FFS. - Pacificgem
Not to sound condescending but in a forum of the masses it’s too crazy & silly to be around. |

Yes it was needless for all concerned. I get it helped the Panthers & why I am miffed about it. He didn’t care about the effect on the Canucks. |

"I haven´t received an official invitation yet but NHL appears to be strating soon. So I think my flight ticket comes soon and I might not be on Christamas at home." said Lukas today after rewarding his coach (who coached him in Liberec) with two points for giving him ice time. |

I'm just wondering what the standards are for deciding who is and isn't a first line player in the league? Score 30 goals and 70 points? You got to hit someone at 2.68 p/60. Must have 1.02 avg SH TOI per game.
The top 31 centers in the league are the top 31 centers. Whether they are elite or not makes no difference. |

Top C on their teams yes but many of those teams are far from contending which a 1C is a major part of it. Add a true top D & that team usually can go deep as long in goal it doesn’t stop them. Depth at C is huge and it starts with a true top C to start it all.
Scoring 30 & getting 70pts is great but how many of those ride the coattails of others & pad srats on the PP? The Skinner & Laine of the world don’t drag teams to success. |

When retiring, should anyone care if they care about the effect of your current or past employer?
I sure as fu ck don't. |
