I am not arguing .
Vrbata would have been good to trade in fact I said repeatedly to do so but he was suppose to ride shotgun with the Sedins. Hansen got Dahlen .
Canucks management Benning and Trevor tried to build around the Twins which was their biggest mistake. Fans now criticize that move but I still recall 20 000 fans chanting one more year on the twins final game. - VANTEL
It’s all been hashed out before by us, there were ways to do it but they didn’t want to.....C’est la vie. |

Walks, which means McCann & the 33rd pick for sweet fukc all. Just like the 2nd rounder 50th overall for Linden Vey and the 3rd rounder 85th overall for Dorsett and the 2nd rounder 53rd overall for Baertschi....etc.
It’s unconscionable to understand how Jim Benning still has his job |

Ovechkin.

Glad we didn’t get Barrie to satisfy Vintsy.
Holtby my guess plays 1/3 of the games. |

My brother in law lost two salmon out Renfrew reeling backwards.... it was still his turn because we rotate but I didn't pass the rod to him when the third salmon landed.... he never reeled backwards again! |

When JB was finishing bottom three was the time to hoard picks, not now when the team is somewhat competitive. - Pacificgem
I totally disagree. When a team is bad, the hardest thing to do is break the cycle of losing. JB brought in culture guys to maintain the effort level and a workman like attitude (also a mix of ages so it wasn’t a bunch of 30+ year olds and a bunch of 19 year olds). He overpaid on a few no doubt but the team worked hard every year i.e. when they acquired better players the group didn’t have to learn how to work hard or how to be pros (it was already instilled in the group).
Now that they have a superstar core that will get “paid” and more young guys on the way, draft picks are crucial. If JB can keep the train of viable prospects going that will help supplement the core. Additionally, quality prospects yield more in trade than picks.
So, now that JB’s core (that 1. Works hard, 2. acts like pros and 3. can teach the next generation), is in place, I expect JB will keep more and more picks and trade prospects that don’t fit into the long-term vision.
