You can't guarantee that the 4 of 8 friends working from home didn't come in contact with someone with Covid prior to your party. That's why you don't hold the event. They could have had a mask-less relative over and didn't tell you, could have gone to Wegmans and caught it, could have talked for 5 seconds to the mailman, could have had a 10 second talk with their asymptomatic children and caught it. That's just the 4 of 8 friends. Are you gonna say the unemployed person stayed home 24/7 for 2 weeks prior to your party ? Doubt that happened. All 8 people could have been in hundreds of possible situations where someone wasn't wearing a mask. The point is - is that for 2 weeks prior to you party, you have no idea where these 8 people have been, who've they've been in contact with, who've they've had over, etc ... Unless each one of them were quarantined for 2 weeks prior to the party, you JUST DON'T KNOW FOR SURE. And risking catching Covid just to watch the Bills, or any reason, was not a good idea.

I realize you'll never say "Damn, you're right", but it's tough to sit idly by when the pandemic is raging across the world. It's just so frustrating to me when I see someone say "i'm gonna live my life" or "you can't stay cooped up forever". Sure you can. There's a pandemic going on, in case people have forgotten.

I recently watched an 80 year old woman at tops picking through bags of grapes on the vine to assemble her own all-star bag of grapes of her choosing in her own bag. I wanted to tell her: please do not touch every grape in this store. I did not do so. But I implore people: please don't touch every grape in the store

Because you need to eat to live.

You don’t need to have 12 friends over to watch Mike Tyson fight to live

Is that finalized or your projection?

I would think Poyer over Edmunds. I want my boy Micah in there but probably not gonna happen this year. Poyer is playing great

Edit: I see that's final. Damn, Poyer deserves to be there

I understand there is a pandemic going on. Fully and completely understand that.

The friends that I hangout with .... I trust and we watch football games. The ones that are loose cannons and I don’t think they are safe. I stay away from. The group in general stays away from.

0 covid issues from March till present day for the group. ( we would get takeout / delivery since it all started)

Yea but can he Guarantee as he worded? Cant he send a son or grandson?

We have some of the smartest people in the world and the best they can do is where a mask in a grocery store. Couldent we find a way to stop that grandma from touching 100 grapes??

Nope let focus of closing small business cause that easy. Just say you cant open vs finding a solution.......

Was not trying to do that. A poster on here got blasted for having some people over to his house. Key word.....HIS.

Think that most of us are smart enough to see this what it is, handle it carefully, and come out of this safely. Wear your mask and YOU should be safe as per the authorities right?

Sweden government screwed it up and the people should of not listened to them and then Canada got it right and the people should listen to them per some. See how thats confusing. What to believe........maybe you know best

- ZiggyBuff

Of course ANYONE not being safe is being dumb

But bringing up the protests to excuse dumb behavior now is ridiculous

Government steps in because your average person can't be expected to take rational and reasonable steps to mitigate a pandemic on his/her own. The average person is a moron

We wear N95's (the good masks), gloves, and goggles. Seriously. AND we go at 6am when they open, AND on Wednesdays or Thursdays ... never the weekend or Mondays or Fridays. There's NOBODY there at 6am - that's when we go.

We haven't had anyone over or been to anyone's house since January. We don't go to church any longer (we want to, but can't risk it). We all work from home. We don't do anything or meet anyone - ever. The only time we leave is for Wegmans - that's it - and when nobody else is there (by the way, you should try doing that ... it's awesome). We sometimes get food delivered and we wait for the item to be dropped off and the person is back in their car. We put the food on plates and nuke it, just to be safe (all the while, washing our hands like 50 times before eventually eating the food). Oh, we took a LOT of walks when the weather was nice - WITH masks on. We take a lot of night time drives now during the cold weather. We have masks with us during those drives, in case something crazy happens. Why are we so cautious ? Well, I don't like dying for one. Second, my son has very bad lungs (collapsed lungs in consecutive years recently, for no reason at all). We cannot afford to catch Covid-19 for his sake.

For those of you who think you can't "live in a bubble" during all of this, yes, you can.

When we get vaccinated, then maybe we can let our guard down a little. Until then, we'll continue to be careful to the max.

Nope. See my other post. We don't do ANYTHING. Just Wegmans at 6am on Thursdays - when nobody is there. We take lots of walks (with masks on), and take lots of drives. That's it. Seriously. We did zero Xmas shopping at stores. Just bought a few things on Amazon (and sprayed the boxes with Lysol !). Living like that IS possible.

I could teach a course on Covid-19 safety. Seriously.

Great job sir 👏👏👏
I applaud the precautions you’re taking for safety sake- makes sense

My parents are both high risk bc of medical issues, so I’ve been quarantining myself (as have my siblings) so that we can all get together for Xmas

That’s not “living in fear”
It’s believing in Science & being smart

Merry Xmas dude
