I'm not taking a side, but I think you've beaten this dead horse to death until it is more dead than it was when it was dead before.

I believe they addressed that with Hall, Staal, and Cozens making the jump.

Scoring goals should not be the issue.

Losing 4-3 games could be though

Would be nice for the sports gods to shine their light on the Sabres like they did for Josh Allen and the Bills this offseason.

Victor Olofsson going from PP specialist to bonafide top 6 stud would be cool.

Or Tage against the machine coming out of nowhere and scoring 20 goals.

Or Ullmark taking the next step at 27 and becoming a bonafide top 10 goaltender in the league.

Give us something too.

Olofsson seems possible
Tage unlikely, unless he plays with Hall & Jack
Ullmark unlikely as well, although he could be a good 1B imo

No preseason and teams that haven't played in 10 months? Yeah, it's going to be a shยกtshow for a couple weeks probably.

I think this benefits us, in all honesty.

56 games, I'm expecting close to 80 points out of Eichel and wouldn't be surprised if he hit close to 40 goals, granted he plays every game.

Eichel: 80 pts
Hall: 60-70 pts
Skinner: 45 pts
Reinhart: 45 pts
Dahlin: 40 pts
Olofsson: 35 pts
Staal: 35 pts
Cozens: 30 pts
Thompson: 25 pts
Okposo: 20 pts
Girgensons: 90 falls

And we are a playoff team

I could see the naturals like Eichel killing it. Eichel at 80% is better than most of the league playing at playoff level, or 110%.

Thatโ€™s a 117pts pace over 82games

68pts in 56games would be a 100pt pace

Further, Eichel scoring 40 in 56 would be near a 60 goal full season pace.

I have a difficult time believing those numbers will be approached.

Could see Eichel 65-70pts for the season
Hall could see in the 55-60pts range.

NHL alters (I should say, fixes) the offside rule to be the plane of the blue line extending vertically. No more skate up/skate down being the difference between being offside or onside.
