I can't believe that Socialist/commie Ontario government can put in a lockdown just in time to ruin xmas, but more importantly, maybe causing issues with the start to nhl. |

I disagree. He needs the intensity and structure of games. As many as he can get because practice is nowhere near the same.
He took a nice step in Utica last year. He needs to be given the chance to take another. They love him there, it's his team to carry. I'd rather see what he can do as the guy there because that's how he develops as a starter. - Load Management
Appreciate the keeper's perspective, thanks.
I figured Demko's performance in the playoffs was due in large part to him having had lots of time to work one on one with Clark. Not sure we would have seen the same results if the season had simply continued and he kept covering for an injured Markstrom. He seemed to have taken another step. |

Canelo beat that taller (frank)er Smith.
6 inch in height 7 inch reach. No big deal. |

Yeah but don't forget Demko got his reps in Utica, before Clark, as a step toward his success. |

I'm good with the skaters for now. Need to see who is ready to make steps. As mentioned and I agree, we need a depth Goalie. |

So no MDP even though the AHL starts later? |

Big read. - manvanfan
Seems smart.
I mentioned about a week ago it would be wise for most teams to carry a 20 man roster. The taxi squad is right there if you need to bring them up.
I would still consider actually sending Loui and Sven to Utica. See if it entices them to use the opt out option where they still get paid. |

The AHL is going to be missing a lot of good players.it will be a cross between ECHL and AHL |

More reason keeping prospects on a taxi squad & get some experience & training. Can they be sent down once or if the AHL starts? |

I think at any time anyone can be sent down or called up . They do need to pass through waivers if they are not waiver exempt. They also need to follow the amount of games played or they could lose their exemption |
|
|
|
The waiver wire will be exciting . Some good names could show up on it. |

They need to quarantine as well. So they have to sit games. |

I think you could see some names like Tyler Johnson , Blake Coleman . I think lots of teams will try to save money. |

Yes . If you have 3 of your six taxi squad guys already inserted into the NHL you may want to add and put the other guys on LTIR .
I am not sure what the isolation time would be if they are already in the same country? I think it is four days? |

I think they did two negative tests within 4 days in the bubble, didn't they?
If a player tests positive for COVID, they are automatically eligible to be placed on Long Term Injured Reserve (LTIR) without any medical review or assessment. Normally, to go on LTIR a Doctor must do an examination and provide a long-term diagnosis.
The standard 10 game and 24 day time missed LTIR requirement remains, and the start date for this period begins from the positive COVID test result |

It wasn't a lot amazingly.
I would be more concerned about actual injury, but that could change on a dime. |

In other sports when a player tests positive they shut down the team for a week.
No doubt it is going to be a challenge. The IIHL just had two teams test positive they shut down the exhibition games for about 4 days |
