There are no “common folk” in Whistler. Yes, there are a lot of transient employees, but the same can be said for downtown Vancouver.

Plus I just saw an interview on the news this morning about the ski hill in Whistler - woman in a mask saying the lines are long, most people following the rules, others not, but it’s easy to keep your distance from others. Though it was raining, and there was no snow in the village.

Bc has been doing well before the most recent lockdown escalated things.
Vancouver Island has the same restrictions as Vancouver, 5 cases a day vs over 1000 cases a day.
The health authority is being lazy by not actually focusing attention on hot spots instead of a blanket, one size fits all actions.
Ontario is going into a lockdown, but different health authorities have different terms and lengths to their lockdowns.
