Canucks army had him as the 19th best under 25 player on the Canucks.

He's what I like to call a tweeter. Draft plus 1 season he showed clear improvement in the same age group. Exactly what you want from a 7th rounder. This season, he has 1 point and his line doesn't look very dangerous to score most nights.

He's got good hockey sense, he skates very well, quick acceleration. His shot is slightly above average. He's active on the forecheck. Not physical but sneaks up from behind and causes trouble and has no problem engaging on the boards.

With better line mates and some PP time, I think he's point totals would be a bit better.

Overall his projection sort of depends on how next season goes for him. He gets a pass for moving up two divisions this year.

Jurmo is still only 18 and he has scored at a higher rate than Utunen did at every level so far. Don't think you can count him out of an NHL career before he even turns 19.

I.E. he is a long shot. At this point, the Canucks are gambling that his size has "stunted" his performance to date and that given his excellent skating skills he will improve at a much higher rate over then next few years (as he grows into his frame). He has raw tools but a long way to go.
