Bert was probably the greatest power forwards of his generation, for about five years he was just dominant! Great trade by Keenan - Pacificgem
Weak mind......probably what stunted his development in the first place.
Just when he mentally started to get over the Moore incident they launched another suit while he was in Turin lighting it up and he crumbled again. Too bad, such a great skillset for a guy that size.

Dumb as a bag of hammers but he had a very high hockey IQ.
He also was the reason for a rule change. Remember the basketball type post-up in front of the crease and push off the dman? Such a great power move until the league screwed him. How many players can say they affected a rule change?
Team Canada looks good, they haven’t popped one yet but lots of pressure. The Russians look disorganized but I’m sure they’ll get that figured out as a tournament goes along. - Pacificgem
Really great how Podkolzin doesn't just throw the puck down the ice when he gets it.
Going to be in Green's dog house quite often though.

Had a look at Sandpiper very nice hopefully will play it this spring. - LordHumungous
I’ve never played it and it was covered in snow but the setting is top notch if that’s what you like in your golf course. Some people don’t give a hoot about the scenery.

Didn’t the Canucks drafting of Bure in ‘89 cause a rule change as well?

I can't remember if the Canucks exploited the rule with the game sheets (Ron Delorme? Tells a great story about how it went down) or if the rule was then changed.
Good catch though. NHL screwing the Canucks since 1970.

He was 29 when the Moore incident happened, right in the prime of his career, such a meathead for that. The two years previous to that he had consecutive career highs, still, between 2001 and 2006 inclusive (five seasons with 2005 being cancelled) he had 368 points in 384 games...0.96 PPG...which is outstanding for a power forward.
