i'm no fan but the guy spends money! he has had no problems with sinking money into the team. i've heard rumours of business not going well for the family in other areas (for a few years now) but it hasn't seemed to affect his ability/desire on spending to the cap max.

i'd rather them spend a wack of dough on upgrading scouting and increasing the front office staff. i think that sort of stuff helps the team more than spending an extra 3-5 on the cap. but in a perfect world you can do both.

Playing wing simplifies it for him. A C has so much more responsibility he hasn’t shown he’s ready for. To get more TOI he has to round out his game. Kid can shoot.

You never know, they maybe saving a slot or two for Tree and Pods from Russia once the KHL is done their season. Maybe that's why Canucks haven't gone out and signed Hamonic or Vatanen yet. They have a decent 5/6 giant about to jump ship. I'd pay him $1M to play in that position...not counting on him to be Chara or anything!

They only need to save space contract wise which they are below the limit now.

When those players are ready to come over they will have to quarantine for 2 weeks. Plenty of time to make adjustments in the roster and taxi squads to assigning to Utica to move extra players for them.

The big question is can they get them here in time to play games before the April 12 TDL to be eligible for playoffs.

Sutter had a worse SAT in 15 less games. Beagle and Motte were like half the teams total themselves. Like Beagle was 3 times worse than gaudette. Even Virtanen was 130 shots to the better over Motte

They are not signed they are on the reserve list. That's why they would be ineligible for play-offs if not singed and played before TDL.
