Nylander, make Ogi's day. One less person to argue about. - rpeters01
Not a chance. This joint has no problem finding someone to dog. Hell, we did it throughout the 2009-2016 glory years; should be no problem in a target-rich environment like this! |

I’d take Tuch in a heartbeat, but not at the expense of Strome. Pirri and Seeler for Tuch - GET IT DONE STAN!!!! - DarthKane
I like Tuch but not at $4.75M for 6 more years.

Theo: The likelihood of NBC Sports Chicago or WGN carrying Hogs games wouldn't be high so perhaps the Hogs could find a home on a low-powered channel like WCIU (CW) or WPWR (My 50 Chicago).
Me: Why wouldn’t NBCSC pick up some kind of package - replacing poker and gambling fishing and whatever that I can’t believe anyone really watches? - StLBravesFan
I've seen Wolves games televised on wpwr from time to time, wish it was the Rockford team

Isn’t a little odd that Strome has not signed yet? Now we are only three weeks away from the start of the season. Are they that far apart in their negotiations? This seems weird to me. - Angotti
I wonder if Bowman wants to keep as much cash available in case a deal comes up before the season starts, plus i have a feeling Smith or Shaw might be LTIR'd, always get confused on how that works and cap ramifications |

My take is if NBCSC found minor league hockey more valuable than poker, fishing, etc. then they would be airing AHL games already.
Or AHL business execs are just bad at promoting their games to get them onto local networks. - Theo Fox
There's just no interest Theo, I've been to quite a few minor league games over the years, people want to watch the best players in the world |

Just a guess, but maybe Stan gave them a shockingly low number on a multi-year deal (in their mind), and he's trying to move them up a bit (new agent in the mix, too, right?) before they accept the qualifying number. - mohel
Hahaha sure Stan did, the same Stan who paid Panik $2.8 per, hahaha

I say we start a guessing pool.
I say Strome once signed will be for 2 years at $5 mil per |

If you LTIR before the season, you cannot accrue the salary for cap space to use at the TDL. Since I believe because of quarantine rules, once the season starts there is going to be minimal player movement between teams, I think that whether you put someone on LTIR before or after day 1 is going to be moot. |

I think that teams have to be cap compliant on the first day of the season with all cap hits counted. Then they can papers on LTIR.
I don’t think LTIR moneys accrue toward the TDL at all.
I may be wrong. |

I said one less not none. We'll be arguing about Crawford and Lehner all season and they aren't even on the team. |

That was when McD was coming up with the "Don't Panik" marketing plan and Stan had to get him signed. |

We don’t have to argue, we can just agree that Crawford is better. |

3 years, $9 million.
Strome doesn’t have much leverage but Stan tends to be more than fair when handing out contracts. Strome may not be a top 3 forward but he’s solidly in the middle 6, likely as 2C or 3C, this team’s weakness was down the middle for years, now it could be their strength. I wouldn’t structure the deal like DeBrincat’s though, I think an even $3 million per season is fine. |

Aren’t they also going to be limited to hotel (including meals), practice rink, and game rink on the road? - StLBravesFan
That is correct. Besides the airport or bus depot or however teams will travel to other cities, they can only be at the practice rink, game rink, and hotel. |

My guess is either one year at no more than $3M or two years at between $2.5-$2.75 per. |

Granlund re-signs with the Predators. One less free agent for Bowman to kick the tires on. |
