First and foremost, skill matters, size just helps you exert than skill on the opposition. |

I think I made it clear saying he’s had success due to his size at the junior level but the minute he faces elite competition at the world stage he disappears. Huge difference between OHL and WJs/IIHF - didn’t think I had to point that out.
Other than arguing semantics do you have a opinion? - Brooks_Light
I really haven't paid attention to the last two Canada games tbh (even though they were on).
I've made the mistake about making an assumption from a tournament and not overall.
During his draft year, he left a lot to be desired for me. he slipped from 2 to 5 and back to 3 to 2 to 4 back to 2.
He was one of the youngest players in the draft. He has never made me question his hockey IQ.
People worry way too much about instant success of draft picks whether 1st or 10th. Teams are drafting a player for 10 plus years.
He's dominating his age group with room to grow in his game. |

Canucks Draft
10 Zegras/Boldy
40 Rees/Grewe
71 Billy Constantinou
102 Ilya Konovalov
133 Carter Berger
156 Xavier Simoneau
164 ?
183 ?

Ilya was 3rd round by Oilers but he's supposed to be better than Knight.
Berger 4th round to Florida
Billy and Xavier weren't
Shall see in 5 years how he has done. |

Skill Speed IQ far ahead of size. Even behind work ethic. |

Zetterberg hasn't played since 17-18.
Unless the player makes an attempt to come back every year, that player should be forced into retirement. - manvanfan
Totally agree, but what about their feelings, and how entertaining that is on TV?

He got a point, what's not to like. Canucks twitter has him better than Petey probably.
Just checked Cam Robinson's "huge Canuck fan" supporters and it seems no one scored for Russia last night so they don't have much to say last night. |

Your solutions are selfish, for you it’s about what is entertaining to watch. You don’t actually care about the players feelings...

You're right, I just can't help but think that Ben Hutton wasn't given a fair shot. |

@JDylanBurke
Podkolzin is easily the Russian's best playmaker. So, naturally, they have him stapled to the net-front in seeming perpetuity.
----------------------------
The centre position for Team Russia is pretty weak, compared to most years. |

Habs sign Corey Perry. That team is going to be a hard team to play against. |
