“To build a team that is not only cohesive, but productive, it's important to encourage everyone to share their ideas, feedback, and constructive criticism. The result? Bigger, better ideas.

The driving force behind a great team is often the ability for team members to work together, give feedback, and constantly innovate.”

What does the World Junior Championships have to do with the NHL?
- manvanfan

It’s hockey?
What about CHL hockey, should they have run time as well? NCAA? BCJHL, AJHL etc? Midget AAA? Sorry, they don’t call it that anymore, U18 AAA.

Never throw mud in an engineer’s face, they design and conceptualize beautiful things, or an educated persons face, they heal you or represent you when you need help because you did something stupid.

It’s beyond comprehension how a couple franchises like the Sabres and the Canucks can’t win a Championship in 50 years....it’s unfathomable!

How truly CDN of you.

As the NJ junior coach said that his u14 have the run clock after a 7 goal lead. I don't know about other leagues right now but i'm guessing it's not reserved to just one.

Over a 68 CHL season, if it happens 10 times for a team, that's a little different over a single game in a tournament for a team.

Pretty sure, the difference in parity of the teams in the CHL is a lot less than a stacked Canadian team vs lesser hockey countries.

Well, hockey Canada does not change the rules, even for house league. What they do is stop posting the score on the clock beyond a six or seven goal differential, but if you think the kids don’t know the true score you’re kidding yourself. The difference in youth sport is that the game slot is a set amount of time, depending on age. So for U14 it’s probably 90 minutes total (warmup, game, handshake) BC minor hockey for U18 P1 - 15min, P2 - 15min, P3 - 20min. All periods are stop time and the final horn is sounded 2 min before the ice slot expires, meaning most games don’t actually finish with the game clock. Tournaments have similar rules, but have extra time scheduled for OT/Shootout.

Not sure what the debate is about, the Germans had a choice to have game changed around, they chose to go forward with it and take their lumps, so they had a better chance of winning in the remaining games.
This was from Bob yesterday.

I am sure no one likes watching or being involved in a game like that, but they will occasionally happen

It provides balance to have a portion of the fan base offering constructive criticism. It keeps the bouncy castle cheerleaders grounded.

Predicting 65 point seasons when the team is progressing upwards keeps fans grounded.

Could’ve drafted one of the better young power forwards in the game in Matthew Tkachuk, but no, we had to draft Olli Juolevi

Them not posting the score after 6 or 7 goal lead. The kids know it, it should be up there anyways. No reason for hurt feelings. Some of those kids might be professionals some day.

I'm more disturbed by the goal they allowed at the end of the 1st.
