Do you watch KHL hockey?
I did & gave it up. It’s boring perimeter non intense hockey. It’s not a breeding ground for stars. Sooner prospects can leave the better they can develop to a much higher pace & difficulty level. - Nighthawk

Nice info thx.
As for 2nd best league in the world isn’t saying much imo. It’s a huge drop to that level. Linden Vey is a star say no more. - Nighthawk
AHL has caught up for sure. It's not far behind anymore. SHL translation rate is probably a little higher than AHL still. After those leagues you have a pretty decent drop off. Czech league has a lot less skill but is much more closer style of game to the NHL. |

I really don't know who people think is going to play on Bo's right side? Loui Sven Jake (who can't stay on any line more than 3 games in a row) Roussel Gauds Sutter ?
Even when they had Toffoli, Brock and Toffoli got moved to to third line duties for a game or two. - VANTEL
This season? Won't be Podz. So it leaves JV, Hogz, Sven, ZacMac, Lind, Sutter, Motte, Baily, and LE all vying for Green's approval in camp. Get ready for the taxi squad musical chairs on Bo's right side all season. |

I vote ZacMac to start. Brings size, likes to play down low in the other teams end, best way to defend. |

lol you dog and bark about JV and his failings constantly but hey must be all imaginary. - NuckUp
Incorrect
I simply state he has the opportunity since day 1 & never enough competition to change that. He has years to earn & keep top 6 but hasn’t. He has another chance this year. If we were deeper RW he’d find out he cannot carry on as he does.
So what about not getting i am clearly stating he has had a silver spoon ride & doesn’t know how to use it. He’s a dog who doesn’t get endless leash. If he doesn’t nail down top 6 on merit somebody else will one day & that day gets closer all the time. He just dodged a bullet when TT not tesigned. |

What about Motte? Only one that can think and skate at a high enough level from that bunch. Maybe he can pull a Burrows. |

Boeser had the 4th best PPG in college over the past 15 years.
I've been looking at past u19 seasons in different leagues over the past week. It's just lists of who's who in the NHL right now 90% of it.
A lot that have similar seasons have similar NHL careers too. Purely speaking from a points view
Eichel #1 class of his own. 1.78 NCAA .95 NHL
Jaden Schwarts 1.57 NCAA .70 NHL
Clayton Keller 1.45 NCAA .67 NHL
Brock Boeser 1.43 NCAA .82 NHL
J Toews 1.35 NCAA .86 NHL
Dylan Larkin 1.34 NCAA .68
Phil Kessel 1.31 NCAA .81 NHL
Pretty close in numbers for the top group of players.
Next group includes players like JVR, Zucker and some new kids like Newhook, Zegras, Colin White, Adam Fox, Tyson Jost - manvanfan
More deep info thx again 👍 |

I always thought the AHL a better proving ground. The SHL develops Euros very well imo. |

Good with that for however long it lasts. Though do see him and JV alternating between 3rd line as odds on best bet starting rotation. Camp will be fun to see who emerges in Green's mind. |

I’ll go out on a limb that Motte is ripe for a chance. Spring board off his PO performance. I would like Mac to get it & excel leaving Motte on the 3rd where he is best. |

All of the players that could be their bring a different element of the game to the line. For me getting into a track meet with other teams top lines is never a good idea.
Zac Mac probably give's up a bit of speed to JV and Motte, defensively not as good as LE but he's the largest of them all. Might be slower than some but he's probably going to grind it out more than the others to pin the other teams top lines into their own end for longer. |

lol you just did it again.... is that insufferable .... don't worry I'm done messing with you. You can keep dogging JV's failings after all JB and Green do too. |

Only hype I see is how he was a bad pick. But we won't see Podz until next season. As his team probably won't get knocked out in time to get him here before TDL and out of quarantine for games.
Same conditions for Tree as well. So Canucks are going to play out the young guys in camp and maybe add one vet D. Don't expect any trades this TDL either. - NuckUp

The only problem with any model is the path that is taken. The best players are coming from other leagues, not the AHL.
If a player in 18-19-20 year old seasons in euro leagues is very good, most likely they are going straight to the NHL.
