Are you sure about that, Perfetti just turned 19 - JetFuel
For hockey purposes, yes I am sure.
Cozens, Byram, Newhook, McMichael etc...were all drafted the previous year.

I’m so sick and tired of people bringing up all these players they “think” had issues. Let’s review,
Kane-literally requested a trade the day winnipeg got the Atlanta team, never wanted to be in winnipeg, Period!!
Trouba-again!!!! Never wanted to be here or Canada for that matter and put a plan in place with his agent to escape as soon as possible!!! Made the Jets trade him to one team, only one team!!!
Buff- I spoke to his family, directly!! Not I heard from someone or anything like that, I spoke to his family was told this was 1000% about his injuries and body breaking down. He couldn’t do it anymore
Enstrom- sorry Rexy but Enstrom fell apart physically and could no longer handle a simple body check without it causing pain and injury!!!! He turned down other NHL offers (like you have pointed out multiple times ) for this exact reason, he couldn’t play contact anymore and now plays in a lower level Swedish league that basically that has no contact.
Roslovic- played with Ehlers ( who all anylitics show is out best forward ) more than any other winger last year and couldn’t produce!!!!!! He is not better than the wingers a head of him!!!! He wants to be a top 6 player without beating out the 6 ahead of him!!!! He is already on his 2nd agent so what do you expect his new agent, Lemieux, a known ass to do? Don’t be stupid people.
Copp- wants to be 2nd line Center. He has not earned it yet And don’t @ me with micro stats that show how good defensively he is, you have to produce ( actual ) results not chances to earn 2nd line Center. Copp knows this and I appreciate what he’s said about having to prove it. He did not have a better year than Stastny last year so he gets it.
Laine- the guy has turned down long term contracts from winnipeg because he wants ten plus per year. If you don’t believe this you are out to lunch!!! Like far out to lunch. Laine believes he is worth more than he is !!!! This is the main issue!!! He played with 55 more than anyone else last year!!!! Stop talking about ya but when we got Eakin......stop crying and spewing useless points!!! He played with 55, fact!!!!
The amount of crying and refusing to acknowledge known facts cause it doesn’t fit your whining, crying narrative is embarrassing.
Do I have issues with Maurice and Chevy, sure but it’s a business people and some fans will complain for the sake of complaining and should just take up ping pong. - Ross77
Bang on!
For players that aren't interested in moving to the PEG, do you want them? I would be hesitant to sign anybody who is picking their next team based on extracurricular. Maybe that was the issue with Florida. Who knows.
As for Laine, I do not hate the guy. Not at 6M AAV MAX. Anybody making more than that better have a 200' game, and can be trusted on the ice when protecting a lead. That is it. He is the riskiest contract going forward, and if a trade was available to bring a proven guy in, on a reasonable contract, it needs to be considered.
Trouba and Kane are irrelevant, as they wanted out, and Chevy got the most he could given the circumstances. The trade just keeps looking better, did you guys not watch Ville Heinola in the U20's???? He was the best D in the tournament in my opinion. That plus Pionk was a win for the Jets, no doubt. |

Apparently with Poolman hurt, Stanley gets bumped up to the NHL group.
Meanwhile, Dylan Samberg starts in Group B.
Maurice gonna Maurice. |

The amount of people jumping off the Louise bridge about first date of camp is funny. |

I think a deal with Laine and Roslovic to Columbus could happen but Laine would have to agree to an extension before hand ( Chevy would allow them to talk ) something like 5 years at 8.5-9 per. Would be my guess. That could be where things are at now. Columbus with everything that has happened to them in recent years would insist on this. |

Yes. Heinola has looked fantastic. If the Finns do end up winning the tourney I would not be surprised to see him get some award recognition, maybe MVP. That would be something.

I’m not sure a young player has made the team from “Group B” in Maurice’s entire tenure |

does it matter? seriously, does it matter if they are on the team, day 1 or day 10? no!! it does not. Samberg has not played hockey in over a year, longer than anyone else. take a breathe
I think you need to be more worried about how badly Patty wants off this team. he had every opportunity to say he wants to be here long term, or almost anything to pour cold water on his agents comments. he did not. |

On the bright side, I read Morrissey and Niku were paired together today.

I am excited for Heinola. But claiming that getting your own first round pick back is a great trade is going a bit overboard.

It was 2 separate trades months apart. I did not like the Hayes rental move one bit. But the 2nd trade was a win

Sure we could put whatever semantics on it. Trouba traded a year earlier would have yielded a greater return and possibly solved our second line center issue and we could have kept this pick and still drafted Heinola. |

once we traded the pick it was no longer ours. the trade was for Pionk and a first. looking at any other way is wrong.
i could say hey you spent 20$ on a pizza and someone took your $20 bill and invested it and turned it into $200,00.00, man what an idiot you are for wasting it on a pizza. once you gave it up it wasn't yours.

Put whatever slant on it you want. It's my opinion, one that I know is shared by many others. |

I have to side with Ultimate on this.
Hayes was a smart trade ruined by Maurice.
Trouba was a terrible trade saved by Pionk and Heinola.
The pick we got was a negative return situation, as it should not have been a wasted expense the first time around, and was not enough value at the time of its return. |

What did the 5th round pick the Jets got for Hayes signing rights turn into? Might help salvage that crappy trade a bit in the long run.. 😂 |

Turned into Harrison Blaisdell... who is a player that certainly exists and plays hockey. |

I think Berdin who certainly knows how to use a stick should give some lessons to Askirov who loses his stick about four times a period. |

Wouldn’t 360 bring you back to where you started ? I’d like to think that you started with your eyes facing outward....however your head is stuck pretty far up your A, so I’m not sure |
