Where’s the podz haters at?! Two great games in a row, all over the ice and one of the more notable players. Looks like the exact kind of possession/defensive guy we need to compliment Bo |

Wouldn’t put myself in the “haters” camp on Podz, but will say that I was encouraged to see him elevate his play in the last two games, and particularly against Sweden. Pretty ordinary in the first two, but maybe that was rust?
Costmar’s feistiness, playing time & impact were very much a happy surprise. Looks like he might have much more potential than I had expected from a late round pick!

He looks like he has a shot to carve out a bottom six role for sure. Was much more excited by how effective podz was. |

This is his third Jr tournament . He has also led the Russians earlier a few weeks back to victory against men. He has also played in various others. He is a solid player that is NHL ready.
I have pretty well tracked him every game since being drafted. There is absolutely nothing to worry about with him even though his minutes are low in the KHL. He plays the exact same way every shift regardless if it is two minutes or ten.
I gave a brief scouting report before the tournament. I said he is always hard on the puck. Wins a lot of board battles and will get you the puck. I said he plays a lot in the other end when he is on the ice . I mentioned he is a surprisingly good passer but will only 5-8 goals in his first year.
He will have a nice career playing with Bo . Write it down |

How dare you sir! Get off your high horse. The resident experts have opined he needs AHL time to be ready. |

In one of the most disheartening moments of the playoff bubble, Johns was forced from the Stars’ first game against the Calgary Flames just a few months after making his triumphant return to the lineup. After missing nearly two full years with post-concussion symptoms, Johns had returned in January 2020 and played 17 games down the stretch for the Stars. He even made it through three round-robin games with Dallas in the bubble, but it appears as those may potentially be the final matches of his career. Yousuf writes that it is premature to consider Johns’ career definitely over, but notes that the 28-year-old will be an unrestricted free agent when his contract expires after this season.
Ferland needs to realize that his time is up for his own safety. Two years away can't stop it from happening again. |

There you go, riding your high-horse again.
Why I was okay with the Podkolzin pick when he was taken was because of the attributes that you mention above, the kid is a workhorse, that will be a valuable contributor on whatever line he is on.
Hopefully when the 2021-22 season rolls around, he slots into the lineup and plays his usual style which is a big bonus for the Canucks organization.
The kid that I have been tracking and was glad he selected is that Costmar kid. I like the feistiness, which is an attribute badly needed on the Canucks, if he ever makes it, but well worth taking kids like that with late picks, especially centres and defensemen. |

I knew/know very little about Costmar but am pleasantly surprised. I will start to follow him more closely. He came on the radar about 8 months ago on Twitter and then got one or two mentions in here.
As entertaining as HB is there is a group on Twitter that provide some very insightful info. I am not talking about the feuding fan base but there are 4 or 5 people giving good insight on the prospects.
Canucks do have some very good young players and some excellent prospects. Anyone sharing that info is welcome in my books. I don't give a rats ass about the Benning sucks crowd but the team is putting together a very good group that turned heads in the bubble.
I would suggest the fans sit back and enjoy the ride on the high horse.

Micheal Ferland will not be in Vancouver for the start of the Canucks training camp.
Agent Jason Davidson : Mike is at home trying to work things through. His health is the upmost importance. We will continue to work with the #Canucks in what is best for Mike. |

Dom whatever his face has Van projected 6th in the division 60.7 points. Say's the division is close.
I was thinking 64-68
Update
Tor 72.6
Mtl 66.4
Cgy 65.1
Edm 64
Wpg 61
Van 60.7
Ott 49.5 - manvanfan
It's funny he mentions the worst D when ours is better than Toronto, WPG, EDM and Ott's. |

Brackett gave really good insight into Costmar during his draft year.
I had Costmar as a potential 5th round pick for Van up till December where he dropped off to a 7th round pick and then was replaced by Oscar Bjerlius after u18s where I thought they displayed pretty equal skill but Oscar was a bit better.
Back to Brackett, he had said about Costmar was that is was kind of tale of two seasons, they were watching him early and really liked him but his game around November took a bit of a dip and didn't really re-capture his form for the rest of the season. |

I think most of us would like to have a healthy Ferland in the lineup, but the guy needs to do the right thing for himself and his family.
Time to pack it in before it is to late. |

Full disclosure, I don't have athletic and I didn't really read anything other than the potential totals.
Mostly because his model is always a bit off it seems. (which most models are) and he's a bit of a homer |
