The rules of the cap are obviously flawed. All teams can use the same loopholes if available to them. I hate the rules that a player who is never going to play again and doesn't even try can go on LTIR and traded.

Changing the rules after the fact is BS as well. Either they need to be grandfathered in or rectify the previous ones.

I also didn't say just a 1st round pick because 2nd round picks or really good prospects could also be included in that.

Anyone else kinda surprised by Chara signing in Washington? Obviously it wasn't a money thing and they said they wanted to give their youth a shot but I just don't see that much "young talent" there to begin with. Clifton, Lauzon, Vaakanainen, Zboril, Berglund.....yikes.
