Agreed.
Weird how suggesting he may not join the team or be in a top 6 role immediately, translates to calling him a bust and being a whiner. I look forward to seeing him play in the NHL when he's ready. - Marwood
Weird how being ok with him spending time in the AHL but projecting him to be an NHL player immediately translates to calling the poster a fan boy. The universe yields what it receives. |

In all honesty, I thought you meant it hurts the future by not being able to sign your RFA's or bad contract signings.
Why would I think it meant having to trade away a 1st round pick, because one team, that I dislike did it?
To bad for Toronto, and that idiot GM they have. - Reubenkincade
Boston did it too but yeah one or two teams

Costmar and Podz both showed well. Good to see in a meaningful game. |

You lose pretty much all credibility agreeing with him.
Sorry, I didn't spell it out for you the first time when I was talking with Vantel about it. - manvanfan

Forgot about Boston, probably because a couple other players were involved. |

The rules of the cap are obviously flawed. All teams can use the same loopholes if available to them. I hate the rules that a player who is never going to play again and doesn't even try can go on LTIR and traded.
Changing the rules after the fact is BS as well. Either they need to be grandfathered in or rectify the previous ones.
I also didn't say just a 1st round pick because 2nd round picks or really good prospects could also be included in that. |

Yeah and if you jump into a conversation, you might want to make sure you understand first. |

JV was on the Myers program. Let's see if he comes to camp stretched out. |

My reading comprehension is pretty good, I can even decipher Nuckup, most of the time. It just becomes a bit difficult when people write something down that isn't t what they are thinking.
I am not so good at mind reading.
When is SHL done for the season, anyone? |

RFA I believe. No contract ,no reporting. - VANTEL
That's not news, it's standard procedure. I thought they weren't allowed to practice with he team until they have something in place? |

PLD not reporting to camp in CBJ - VANTEL
He's an RFA and Columbus has almost 10 mil in cap space and only him to sign - oddly enough I haven't heard a thing about that situation in months. He's pretty much their best player/future captain (or Jones?) - I'd imagine its gets done in the next few days???
Anyone else kinda surprised by Chara signing in Washington? Obviously it wasn't a money thing and they said they wanted to give their youth a shot but I just don't see that much "young talent" there to begin with. Clifton, Lauzon, Vaakanainen, Zboril, Berglund.....yikes. |

Columbus probably looking for a bridge deal for Dubois. PLD looking to get paid. |

I am not surprised with Chara he is 43 . It is a very good opportunity for a lot of teams to look at young players. I seen some rumblings they were going to walk away from him.

It really is the perfect year to just say "fvck it, we're going young" and give youth the chance to prove themselves. It is why i am thinking to walk away from vatanen or hamonic
Hughes-Schmidt
Edler-Rafferty
OJ-Myers
as our staring Dmen and also give Rathbone so play time in there. Same with Lind and Hogger. Give them games and use the Taxi squad to our advantage. |

I would also give games to Rafferty Briesbois Chatfield . See if any of them stepped up.

True
My surprise is mainly because he was the captain and has been with the team for like 15 years - I figured he'd retire a Bruin. |

I was thinking Winnipeg and Columbus would be good trade partner, centred around Dubois and Laine.
Could have Columbus boy Roslovic in there somewhere as well.

All of them should get a few games for sure, including Lind and Jasek. Let's see what they got. |
