I was thinking Winnipeg and Columbus would be good trade partner, centred around Dubois and Laine.
Could have Columbus boy Roslovic in there somewhere as well.
Shit make it a blockbuster.

I would also give games to Rafferty Briesbois Chatfield . See if any of them stepped up.

I'm not sure Brisebois, Chatfield and Sautner have a much higher ceiling that Fattenburg which is fair. But I believe Rafferty, Rathbone and OJ could be better - so those are the guys I wanna see first/more.

True

My surprise is mainly because he was the captain and has been with the team for like 15 years - I figured he'd retire a Bruin.

He has been . Will be weird seeing him in a cap uniform

Wouldn’t put myself in the “haters” camp on Podz, but will say that I was encouraged to see him elevate his play in the last two games, and particularly against Sweden. Pretty ordinary in the first two, but maybe that was rust?

Costmar’s feistiness, playing time & impact were very much a happy surprise. Looks like he might have much more potential than I had expected from a late round pick!

Neem sees everything people say as hate if he disagrees with it.

I made that comparison a few days ago also. I was wondering what you thought of them seeing you also watched the Comets last year.

I think it is not a bad thing for a club to have a few guys that can come in and not be totally lost

He could want out also?

Not a great place to play, much like Winnipeg

- VANTEL

That’s what I was thinking. Like Winnipeg and Buffalo, Columbus is probably not high on players favourite cites to play.

I've liked this Jiricek kid from the Czech team. The kid has good size at 6'3" and a right shooting defenseman, eligible for next draft.
He isn't getting a lot of minutes, but looks decent when on the ice.

Yup - he probably expected Draisaitl money and Kekalainen countered with 3.5milX2
- Brooks_Light

PLD hasn't exactly been top tier money centre so far. Granted look who he plays with.

Almost makes more sense for CLB to get him for long term and cheaper like Mackinnon and Scheif.

I thought Podkolzin faded off last night after the run of penalties Russia took. He was very noticeable before that though. As we all know, he doesnt waste any chances to drive to the net like a bull.

Costmar was a pain in the ass for Russia for the entire game. There is a lot of surprising things about him if you think of him as a 7th rounder. He has a hard shot with a fast release. He seems dangerous from all areas of the O-Zone especially around the net. His competitiveness is pretty high.

I know it could take time for both to make it to the big club roster or even make it to the NHL, but I’m envisioning a future Canucks line with Arvid Costmar and Kole Lind on it and I’m feeling sorry for the opposition.

I wonder how they came up with the Sept 15th cut off date.

Great Podkolzin is out of shape just like Virtanen.

He took a shot block in the 2nd and It seemed as if his shifts were 30 seconds max after that for the rest of the game.

Did not know that.

Typical Twitter is coming alive right now with the Loui and a first for PLD trade offers

It comes from the training camp start dates, so no player is still 17 years of age,.

Watched the full Russia vs Sweden game last night, very impressed with Podkolzin last night. He's a bull, very strong on the puck, good vision with an ability to process the game well while on the ice, his skating his good, needs to play like this more often.
- Pacificgem

I enjoyed his game last night. Whatever you do, don't suggest he has more to offer after he plays a mediocre game or 2. Bloated warned me, but what followed was more high school and less high horse.

I agree, most of these kids have a ways to go before making enough of an impact to defy the immense odds. It's almost like you've played the game before and know the expectations and how big the steps are to meet them.
