Good middle 6 is a good pick. Top line is a role he can handle one day. Everything depends upon line dynamics more than where drafted. Too easy to peg a player as a this or a that. Rather look at how hard are we to play against & how it translates into winning.

This season the top 6 relies on 5 with hope Jake finds another gear. Still leaves the 3rd line needing to be fixed or at least play better & not be a liability. Hoglander MacEwen Motte have an opportunity to help solidify the top 9. Odds are more likely by committee as I don’t see any ready to step up unless camp shows otherwise.

Next year should be a better.
