It’s a season to hold back & not business as usual. Live with any growing pains & let the core develop. The kids are on the cusp or maybe ready so run with them & use the year to find out. It’s not tossing in the towel. The vets & expiring contracts can show some value.

I was reading he has symptoms again that is whey he is not flying in for the physical and will do it by zoom.

I would guess Benning has already told him no. It is really hard to manage your team when one week you have cap space and then the player says I am back and injured again next week.

Further to Rick's report, Canucks tell me Ferland will still do a physical with team doctors (via Zoom or similar). Would have to be deemed unfit to play before he could go on LTIR.

That he's not travelled to Vancouver to take his physical tells you just about everything.

This kind of schedule everyone will get a shot to play. So having more NHL proven D, a usual sore spot, would be better.

Yup time to be patient. Enough talent in the line up & kids coming & vets going.

Over my 40 years of either watching or listening to this tournament on the radio, never has there been a more overall disappointing team as Sweden.
They just don't seem to be able to gel as a unit very often.
