Here’s a clip from a recent article on Pods...

Now, I’m not sure I would put much value on JB’s ability to judge someone else’s ability to speak English considering his own difficulty with the language.

Look, you asked that people quit piling on when you would bring up an opposing OPINION,to what you try to post and I for one have backed off, but here you are, regularly picking an argument over what your opinion is, or because you don't read some of the stuff you post.
You complain when people call you NFU, but you act exactly like him, now if you want that to ever change, maybe you need to figure out a way to try to communicate in a language that is understandable, less confrontational and respectful.
Everyone of us humans has an opinion, you are not some type of elitist opinionator, so get off your high horse.
I think what you are saying, is almost exactly what Marwood and Bloated are saying, he will need to earn a role on the team.(as per the bolded)

Does being too short to see the screen give you a Napoleon complex... because man that was some high horse posting Ruby.

On the topic of Podz it is my opinion he'll earn a role like Bo did. The Canucks have no intention of developing him in the AHL. To say so is contrary to their stated reality.

Now if you want to debate if he's a top 6 player or not have at it. There is plenty of legitimate constructive reasoning to be hashed out.

These games really are meaningless other than we get to view hockey. Anyone thinking Byfield is going to be a big point getter just because he got 6 against a weak opponent is dreaming . Pods same thing weak opponent. Very good night but I have seen enough of him to know that is not going to be the norm. He will probably score two a month not two a game

I disagree. There's a boatload of draft eligible players in this tournament trying to get some pro eyeballs pointed in their direction. Guys working to warrant further scouting.

Some of the self proclaimed guru scouts, armchair GMs in here can't tell shit from shinola, but it has never stopped them from letting all know their superior knowledge.

You are correct . I didn't say already drafted. I know I was thinking that but I did not word it properly.

Definitely a good tool for undrafted players.

I am sticking to using winky faces . My second post sarcasm flew over one persons head completely. So not everyone is smart enough.

What?

Marwood stated that he looks forward to seeing Pod develop his skills in the AHL before joining the big club. I’m assuming that Marwood is not Jim Benning so the post is essentially his opinion that Pod won’t be ready to make an immediate impact upon leaving the KHL.

I don’t think that’s an outrageous statement and it’s probably smart to have low expectations in this case because Pods is not an overly offensive player. Being a NHL defensive specialist is extremely difficult skill to master. Him being Russian, playing in a Russian system also has its pitfalls. Might take him time to develop those skills. If Canucks are in winning mode now then learning at the NHL level might not be the smartest plan for Pod.

I know you and Marwood don’t see eye to eye but his particular take on Pod was not a troll attempt. Save those accusations when he actually does troll.

- bloatedmosquito

You are a lot smarter then this and should know the MO of Trollwood is to make insidious comments. Everything is purposeful to "knockdown" (in his words) everyone and anything. That's his protected status and role here and everyone knows it.

I do agree with you that Podz will have a learning curve coming over from the KHL. But who doesn't need to make adjustments that's part of being a rookie. Yes you are right to point out language and cultural adjustments. But is he the first to have to do that? He's got a strong character and out going personality. So I don't see him being overwhelmed. Will it affect the rate of his development perhaps. But to the point he's taken off the roster that's a stretch.

(frank) I hate when people use this! It’s overused and no longer has the effect it is intended to have.

Insidious? Come on. It’s just words on an anonymous hockey opinion web site. They are only harmful if you allow them to be. From post to post, thread to thread, you should just forget what people say because in the end it’s meaningless. It’s for entertainment purposes only... except for Minivan. That (frank)er records everything.

Are you doing shrooms with your Lord and Savior? Though when not in sycophant mode you have shown to know how to take a good ribbing or joke. Stay frosty don't grill your cheese

High horses aside, would be interesting to see how Podz and Costmar do tonight. Always like to see Canuck prospects excel under the spot light even though its not a barometer of future NHL impact.

Not directed at you, just a general comment...

Byfield is going to be a good NHL player, he collects tons of points in the OHL, further to that, he’s the youngest player on the Canadian WJ team. He’ll be 19 at next year’s tournament.

Not much to dislike with him imo.

No, I'm hoping we trade our 1st rounder for a top 6 forward.
