I posted my first period notes for SWE v USA on the front page. Sweden has been dominated for at least 18 minutes, and in every zone. They may be rattled from yesterday’s loss, but if the coach doesn’t get that room calmed down, this will be a disaster. Already down 2-0

I added second period notes. These kids look lost. The goalie change should have happened between periods before third and fourth goals made it in. The coach needs to stabilize this group so they can play a decent third.

I have no clue. Yzerman is still “surveying” the market for sure.

A forgettable third period for Detroit’s 5 prospects and team Sweden in general. No real notes for the third. Just a tough couple days for the Swedes. Niederbach won “player of the game” for Sweden.

Final thank you to everyone. All of you that have read and/or commented. You’ve each given me a chance to live out the dream of writing about this Detroit Red Wings team. As tough as 2020 was, this was a huge bright spot. Thank you Eric and Ek for giving me a shot

I have watched all of the Swedish games so far and in particular last night, Soderblom and Costmar were the Swedes 2 best players, that defenseman, Johnson I believe, is a long ways away from being an NHL quality defender.
I will be cheering for Sweden tonight and hope your prospects play better than they did last night.

Thanks for that! McIsaac got hurt overseas and had surgery. He’s out for several months, unfortunately
