Morin moving to wing has got to be the stupidest thing I have ever heard, and believe me I have heard quite a bit in my life! Players Morin's height cannot play forward effectively, because their size severely limits their ability. The more appropriately sized forwards will jut skate circles around them. The Flyers don't need another slow and void of skill forward, they don't need size and physicality up front. What they need is size and physicality on the backend, especially while killing penalties, and that is where I think Morin can help them the most. AND the Flyers need speed and skill up front! Need I remind everyone what we just watched in the playoffs? This Flyers team got bumped out by a superior skating and skilled team in the Islanders? The Islanders skated circles around the Flyers, and the Flyers could not score a PP goal, or hardly any goals actually. Carter Hart was the only reason they were in these games! I really don't understand this move, I really don't. I had to look at the calendar when I first read it because I thought for a moment it was April 1st, not January 1st! I don't know if its the water they drink in Voorhees NJ, but it seems no matter who works for this team, they get teleported back to the 1970s, no wonder this team hasn't won a cup in so long!

The same old, it isn’t the 70’s overreaction posted based on one move. Morin has yet to crack the line up since being drafted, so we have no idea if he’ll even make the team. We got beat by a well coached, more hard working and more balanced team than ours. I wouldn’t exactly call Andrew Lee speedy prime Matt Martin or Kyle Clutterbuck killed. They’re definitely going bottom six forwards who can grind and play physical, which I do think we lack. I don’t think it’s just speed we need or just one hole we need filled. What I wouldn’t give to have a Matthew Barzel or better yet a 25 year old Claude Giroux leading the offensive charge for us. Every year all I ever hear is how we need to get with the time and become faster. Montreal has always been fast. They’re fast now. They’re not winning anything. The problem in my opinion is a lack of balance and consistent play.

Sam Morin seeing any time at LW during an actual game that counts in the standings is the equivalent of Chris Stewart in the lineup. A horrible idea and will likely hurt your team.

Let's pump the brakes and see how this experiment works out. It's not like we're moving a top 6 dman to forward. He's battling for his career and if it works, great. If it doesn't and he moves back to d, no harm done.

Interesting idea. I do not feel like it will work, but I've been wrong ONCE before. :-)

It seems as though your intellect is stuck in the 70's also.

Chris Stewart didn’t hurt our team. No fourth line player barely on the ice hurts any team.

“Oh no! Stewart’s four minutes forced Couturier to play two more minutes a game”. 😭

If Morin can figure out the offensive zone and neutral zone coverage/gap details and board work, then this could work for him and the Flyers. Assuming so for a moment, it is possible he could be used effectively on a dump and chase forecheck. If he can figure out those parts, I would love to see him chase a dump-in into the left corner and pursue a defenseman gaining control.

Says you, which doesn’t matter at all.

Seeing how this idea is career Suicide, once Vigneault is fired, maybe you can take over.

This is how the Flyers move him...
Unfortunately the Flyers have no need for him at D, and he is an unproven health risk. If he just stays healthy then he will be moved to a team that can use him on D.

That's all this is. A chance for SAM to prove he can play the game, display his skill and head for the game, without so many injuries. LW is as good as any place to show that... If it works, Flyers get a small return and new team slides him to D,
