You wouldn’t happen to have Finnish heritage would you? Lots of Finns up there in the Mat from EuroCan. - Pacificgem
Nope. I know lots of Finns here though, they are annoying fans, kinda like Leaf fans. |

Its funny how Podz has skills like defensive game etc that go well in a bottom 6 role. However, he's got hockey IQ and skill that make him a great 2 way top 6 player. What does that translate to is interesting how often its debated here.
Remember the Petey v Glass debates in Canuck fandom and the glass half full crowd (pun intended) just couldn't buy into Petey's weight or skills would translate into NHL play. When someone is against a pick they fight that narrative well into his NHL years. The bar for Podz has already been set too high to overcome that kind of scrutiny. - NuckUp
Not sure what you are talking about, all of us here were thrilled when Benning picked Elias. |

I’m a very suspicious person. Last year I wished everybody a happy new year and look what happened. So this year, from the bottom of my heart, (frank) you. |

I didn't know this until yesterday but Jonny Tychonick left UND this year because they told him he wasn't going to make the team over the other two left handed D coming in Sens other draft picks - manvanfan
Too bad the WHL isn’t up and running, he should’ve went there. |

I can't remember who was on here telling us how good Broberg is, hopefully they have now come to their senses. |

There were quite of few that wanted other players actually. I was one of them but glad to be wrong. Glass was probably the player most wanted when the Canucks time came to pick. Very few actually wanted Petey. 2 or 3 people tops but as usual, a couple of years pass and magically the number of people who wanted Petey grows 10 fold.
That being said, I don't really remember much talk about Petey not translating to an NHL player. It was simply a case of desiring a different player. There were concerns about his thin frame etc(not me) but as far as skill goes, what was there to argue about? He was a dominant player against men in his draft +1 season. MVP regular and playoffs. Scoring leader... world class unicycling juggling score at will highlight reel. Confidence to spare... Early in his draft +1 season, I knew JB made the right choice... |

I guess Benning now has to be considered a better GM than Yzerman Holland and Shero seeing Costmar was one of the top 3 players and Broberg Holtz and Raymond well weren't . |

He was drafted by Las Vegas, should be their 3rd line center. |

Lias Andersson was traded, something went sour with him and the Rangers. He’s with Los Angeles now. |
