He’s definitely a North-South type of player, stick skills are not outstanding by any means but has other good attributes.
- Pacificgem

He's very good behind the net with the puck, always got his head up.

puck handling skills are definitely not elite More like "one move Horvat'

His shot has surprised me a bit. I figured it was kind of a 6/10 but it might be more 6.8/10

He really does have a skill set that Van lack.

They had 9 selections, if 4 of them make the nhl, what percentage would that be?
- Reubenkincade

Zero D were drafted.

That little Florian Elias is always in the mix offensively for the Germans, he’s only 5’8” tall, he’s their version of minivan, always in the mix

Germany looked good.

Other than Miller they don’t really have a heavy one on one board battle guy. So yeah, if he can learn the NHL game, systems, speed quickly he may earn a spot.

For an under-manned squad they showed well. Someone mentioned here though, for a nation of 80+ million people they should be more competitive.

Draisaitl, Seider & Stutzle all drafted really high in recent years so hopefully their hockey programs are progressing.

Buffalo drafted that Peterka kid early in 2nd round, he looks to have some potential.

Buffalo with Staal, Hall, Eichel and Dahlin should be a lot more competitive this year.

Do you see Hall re-signing there ?

Edmonton NJ Buffalo are pretty close to the Trifecta of sh1t holes to play in. Throw in Winterpig and he can call it a career.

They are in a tough division, don't see them making the playoffs.

No idea, I don’t proclaim to know what’s important to him. It’s close to home (Ontario) for him, he gets to play with Eichel who’s one of the best young players in the game, who knows.

I know Staal wanted to build a home in Minny so I am not sure he will be back. He was looking at retiring.

For a colder European nation they should have a bigger talent pool if hockey was more of a national sport. Is what that means, but you’d have to be able to filter it out without someone having to explain it to you

I would assume they’d retire back in Thunder Bay as Staal’s wife is from there as well and part of a tight knit Dutch community. All their relatives are there. I assume that’s important to them?

He said they were going to build in Minny when he did his exit interview.
