Monahan has better offensive numbers than Dubois, both have played with superstar wingers. There may be some others added to the trade, but at least I didn’t throw a Kylington into the trade and call it even.

I dont see this trade working. If I am Columbus I would somehow want JG in the trade. They are a small US market that would love a US born big name to put people in the seats.

Todd is related to Eklund, probably his son. The garbage that come out of these two on HB is a joke and a reason I rarely agree with any of their comments and find them having a very low level of insight on the nhl in general, especially Todd. EK knows more but just dreams up ridiculous stuff to get hits. If you want a good blogger try Carol in Vancouver, Bill in Philly and Theo in Chicago.

The Flames would still win the trade if it was two for one. JG would not fit into the Jackets style of play and Torts would have him benched. Monahan, not sure how his wrists are holding up ?? Dubois is a force and on a high scoring team his stats would be much higher.

I dont think Columbus would say no to a Gaudreau & Bennett for PLD & a 2nd.
I imagine Treliving would have to think long & hard about that one but if culture change is what his goal is, this would be a real interesting deal. Tkachuk-PLD-Lindholm gives Flames a fresh look at #1 line.

We thought Barrie would fit for those exact same reasons.....unfortunately if he cant play behind 4 D men and get sheltered then he sucks and loses all confidence.
