Vitanen’s interview today made him seem at times to be obnoxiously perturbed especially when they fired the weight question at Elias.
Still needs to mature and he didn’t exactly look defined as for his conditioning.

I missed that one but caught Green's interview. He's basically saying he'll play him where its best for the team and to read into todays lines.

From what I got from Green he doesn't have time to waste and will start the players that are 100% ready.

We know Hogs is already in mid season form so he'll get the first long look with Bo and Pearson. Lotto line a given. Liked Gauds with ZacMac and Roussel from last season. That leaves JV with Sutter and Motte to start opening night. Motter has the speed for JV and could fetch him the puck to catch lower paired D off guard. Beags rotates in for Sutts.

I think Gord Miller just said Russia has just one RH shot

Should I insert winky face?

D pairs will be biggest wild card for me on where and how often to switch up the roster. Rathbone and OJ could be rotating. So could Ben/Chatfield with Hamonic until he gets up to speed. That all could have Green alter where he places his top 4 D in the pairings.

Remember when people were wishing that Dubas was our GM because he "rebuilt Toronto right"?

Nope. Never heard anyone wish that.

I’m just being a dyck and it’s only 20 minutes of hockey, but he reminds me of Virtanen. Go fast, get in too deep, lose the puck.

Nothing in life is guaranteed, they’re playing well, that’s why they’re winning.

A defensemen giving his Stick to the goalie has got to be one of the dumbest plays in hockey.

One thing I am surprised at is the Russian goalie. Cam Robinson had him hyped up to be the next Vasilevskiy but he has been just average

Your high horse is sure growing oh little one. What can be said Canada has the best players and team. Russia sucks with Podz leading the way. That narrative was beat to death before the game. At least we got a camp and some Canuck roster intrigue going on.
