Missed the Newhook goal as I’ve been out for a few hours, sweet top shelf snipe there. Colorado with a powerhouse lineup and they’ve still got Newhook and Byram waiting to get in. Jost will probably be traded sooner than later.

Your high horse is sure growing oh little one. What can be said Canada has the best players and team. Russia sucks with Podz leading the way. That narrative was beat to death before the game. At least we got a camp and some Canuck roster intrigue going on.

One thing I am surprised at is the Russian goalie. Cam Robinson had him hyped up to be the next Vasilevskiy but he has been just average
- VANTEL

Didn’t Nashville just take him pretty high in the draft?

Askarov is billed as a future franchise goaltender. He needs a lot of refining in his game if he is going to be what the draftniks had him being.

This is the first I’ve seen him, he’s only 18 though, not very many goaltenders play in the NHL before 23.

He has been very average in every game which is fine. He is one goal away from getting pulled

Here she is boys, in all her glory, the hardest trophy in sports to win! Even the dynasty Edmonton Oilers have only won two of them. Our Canucks have two as well

In all fairness, the only noticeable player for the Russians has been Podkolzin.

He's got the Marky problem. Allowing first goal on first shot. Once he's allowed a few more easy ones, shuts the door once the game doesn't matter anymore.

Nothing a sports psychologist can't fix
