PDL playoff stats aren't bad either, but why trade for the same thing? Especially your captain.
- pker2theend

Wouldn't make sense trading Horvat for him.

I do believe Boeser will be traded at some point soon though. His next QO is 7.5 mil.. that's going to be tough to fit.

Not sure a BB package for PLD would work though. Would set the left wing on Horvat's line though...

I heard Lucic's skating is so bad this year he decided he will just wait in his own end. He can keep Markky company.

Marky will be fine. He's not going to have to worry about the extra playoff workload this year.

I agree....going through the habs then leafs won’t be as difficult as the blues and knights

John Marino signs extension in Pitt

6 years 4.4 AAV

He has played 56 games in the NHL.

He looks good but these D contracts are getting ridiculous.

Thanks Carol. I've been pushing for Hamonic for several weeks now as the needed RSD shore up solution. As for 5 years ago I wanted him to but not a straight up trade n Tanev, Anyway, funny how things worked out.

Getting? NHL contracts have been insane for a long time now. Every time the owners try and put limits on their spending, someone finds a loophole and the ridiculousness continues.

Getting closer to playing games, thank God, January February and March would’ve been so boring without some hockey!!

If true, that would have happened by now. LE will be on the Canucks roster until his contract expires.

Agree. Wonder if prospects like Hogs, Podz, then Gaudette and Tryamkin would be a package Torts would greenlight for CBJ GM.

Though personally this would create more problems then solve trying to fit PLD in. I'm all for spending assets to get that elusive young RSD partner for QH.

I think you're missing the point that Utica isn't up and running ergo why not an option yet.

From a players perspective, I think it’s great, careers are short. It does however force the owners to employ intelligent management teams who make good decisions.

I think Benning is too proud to send him to the AHL, when it’s up and running, because it’s an admission of guilt.

Yeah, but it was a fun ride watching us dethrone the reigning cup champs while your merry band of smurfs were busy underachieving....again.

Like not offering term to replaceable UFA's so they have cap options for the new young core.

The players are making their share of the profits. The game has grown a lot.

My thought was more that giving players these long contracts after a season or two.

Imagine if Marino regresses a bit this year. Now you've given him 4.4M for 6 more years to a guy who had a one off season.

They aren't getting bridge deals some of these guys and teams are banking on them improving.

Would you be okay with giving OJ 6 years 4.4M if he plays every game this year and gets 20 points? I sure wouldn't.

Yes, letting both Markstrom and Tanev walk was imo very good decisions, it not only gave them the flexibility to search for a younger better option than Tanev, which they did in taking advantage of Vegas’s cap situation, but it also allowed them to put faith in Demko who they’ve drafted and developed over the past six years.

Other than his agent begging him not to, there's nothing preventing Boeser from negotiating a longer-term contract at a lower AAV than 7.5MM.

LOL the man already said LE didn't live up to his contract. He's been trying to trade him for years so ragging on him or throwing to the sh!thole would have prevented that.

Now with the flat cap he has no options left but to send him off. Especially when some of the younger and new guys show there is no role left for LE.

He also said he still plays well defensively and provides leadership. I still think it’s a remote possibility as it only saves the team 950K over whatever it is plus he’d have to answer for it in the media.
