Beagle and Eriksson as perennial healthy scratches. - Marwood
every team has a few anchors, they just happen to be ours. Hopefully Eriksson is sent down, but again, I don't think they have the balls to do it. Happy to be wrong though! |

That is worse case scenario about the two seasons. I disagree he will be here full term because you burn an extra year of prime Bo Schmidt and JTM. I hope they pull the trigger this upcoming off season , Benning has looked into it so I hope they do it in the 2021 break. - VANTEL
The time is now that he's getting only paid $1M to play. How long do you think he'll last in Utica for that. Waiting until next season where he gets $4M ($1M bonus) lessons optimal leverage. |

I don't disagree . More and more media are talking of the possibility. Just need to wait and see if it becomes a reality. I hate the guy so I hope it is true but I would not be surprised to see him on a taxi roster.

He's got 5 million coming to him over the next two years, that's 10 percent of his career earnings. Of course he's not going to MTA, 5m, he'll live in Timbuktu for that. |

I see this too, you forgot Demko winning the Vezina and green winning the Adam's!
- Pres.cup
Crap, you're right, totally forgot about Demko keeping that playoff freight train running down the tracks...I've been singing his praises for awhile now, I guess we'll see if I was right or not.

really? the one question that most of us have about petey is his size and flowing from that is his durability.
we've seen him get thrown around and knocked off the puck a lot.
it's logical to look at his weight when most of us believe that his biggest drawback is his strength.
this was an example of precisely why petey was not selected as captain. it was a normal question that gets asked of many players during the first couple days of camp every year.
the fact that he got so offended shows his personality (and it's not a bad trait for a competitive professional athlete) is not suited to be in front of the media on a daily basis which is why he isn't a good captain for today's media/public relations game. - RealityChecker

Maybe some other team will see them on waivers and decide, we would like that player at half price and make a trade with Van. - manvanfan

God I hate Calgary, so bad...that said, as has been mentioned previously, it's so tight between Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg and Edmonton I'm expecting some really entertaining games.
Despite Petey's 176 pound frame he's going to contend for the Hart Trophy this year, 80+ points in only 56 games. Boeser's gonna score 25 in only 56 games. Horvat will have 40 points and get Selke consideration. Quinn Hughes is going to win the Norris Trophy.....it's gonna be a fun year to watch the young guys on the team grow!! - Pacificgem
Sure will be ultra competitive and a fun ride. Why leave the Leafs out of it? |

Do you swallow all Van media with your morning coffee or do you save some for before bed? - manvanfan
Nice.
You think me saying that Peterson's weight is a legitimate discussion/question the first day of camp means that I "swallow all Van media."
So lemme ask you a question, are you really that dumb?
Nevermind, I think we've all read enough of your posts to answer that ourselves. |

True. It might be in stages since Utica is not until into February. I think Sven might be taxied as well until later. Depends on what Lind and Bailey show. You'd think they would prefer to stock the taxi squad with more D. |

It is just hope but getting closer to being real.
Was pulled from starting roster and sent to press box during playoffs and late last year
Talent is catching up and surpassing him
Salary lines up this year that cost is not an issue
All that said it hasn't happened yet so wait and see.
