And both of ours are under Benning. 1 being a Franchise Dman and the other looking like a top 4 potential(taken a little too high)

I don't know what you mean, I've always loved the kids, it's the other crap I'm not thrilled with. Hopefully the young guys bring it this year!!

I don’t think you’ll make the team, your game has gotten soft.

I've never seen Rathbone play but it's starting to sound more and more like he was an excellent late round pick by the team!!

JB's doing everything he wants. He's got to waive blue pom poms over orange ones. As long as they're not Leaf blue ... he didn't answer yet why he thinks they are above the rest of the division

3 minute mark. Team effort in scouting right there.

He has come as advertised. Skates well, shoots hard.

Though it could happen, I see OJ getting the initial nod over Rathbone at first. I could see OJ traded if they feel Rathbone could do just as well on the 3rd pairing.

On LE going to the AHL. It has been pointed out previously that we can't get cap relief if he gets injured in the AHL like we can if he is injured in the NHL. To that I say this:

He can't get injured in the NHL to give us that cap relief if he never plays because he sucks so bad. This training camp so far sounds like he is mentally done and doesn't care either. As for the 20% withholding, most of his pay was Bonus which would already be under the NHL rules, FA doesn't lose much by him going to the NHL because only the 1m owed this season matters for that. Maybe a season in the AHL has him retire after?

If Rathbone is that good and ready Canucks found the diamond. But it doesn't mean OJ is out of the picture. He'll be on the roster or taxied in because all the D will need breaks and to be played less in this schedule.

Why trade OJ if Rathbone is better? Edler will need to be replaced one day maybe even next season if he retires. After OJ/Rathbone its a steep dive in prospect D talent.

OJ is still coming off a season against better players than Rathbone did. I still think they have near equal potential, which is great for the future Canucks. Right now there isn't anyone else in the system that yields the same potential as those two.

IDK about LE, at this point Canucks seem like they are trying to be professional about it the same way as the Sedin's but they wish that he would just go away.

i am somewhere between laughing and puking after reading this. its very nhl of them though lol

The NHL has sold the naming rights to its four divisions.

As the league prepares to kick off the abbreviated 2020-2021 season, it announced Tuesday that each division will have corporate sponsorship.

The North Division will be branded by Scotiabank, the Central Division by Discover, the East Division by MassMutual and the West Division by Honda.

That is worse case scenario about the two seasons. I disagree he will be here full term because you burn an extra year of prime Bo Schmidt and JTM. I hope they pull the trigger this upcoming off season , Benning has looked into it so I hope they do it in the 2021 break.
- VANTEL

THIS!!!!!!

this (the primes of these guys and the other young stars) should be the guiding principle to ALL the team's moves.

i can't speak for his game. i've not seen him play so won't say anything about potential etc.

i did watch/read a few interviews when he was drafted. he seems very intelligent (bonus points for going to harvard) and very, very mature. he comes across as a guy you would definitely root for to make it.

that's my way of saying that i think his mental game seems strong and hopefully that accelerates his development.

If he goes to the A, he's getting 5m over the next two years, he won't retire, would you? 10 percent of his career earnings on the line.

tonight's game features two of the heavyweights from the Pfizer Conference. Let's see if the Viagra Vancouver Canucks can keep it up against the Cialis Calgary Flames.

And of course, the game will be played in the Calgary Pink Taco Bowl .

Lots of speculation coming out of NYI. The talk of Barzal wanting long term 10 mil is quickly fading to a two year bridge deal at a reasonable cost. Also there is speculation Isles have signed Matt Martin to 4x 1.5 .

I sure hope something in the range for Barzal around 7.5 so that sets Petey and Hughes up next year around the same. Signing both our guys around 15-16 mil would leave plenty of room to navigate the 28 mil cap space next year.
