OJ getting dangled. Still has work on using his body better. - manvanfan
He does, but TP dangled a few defenders last year as well. He'll develop that part of his game. |

I said this upcoming offseason Canucks will make big moves and even move Loui. If they wait for contracts to expire then they are burning prime years of Bo Scmidt and JTM.
I think Loui will be traded and Canucks will lose an asset and I also think they will look very hard at Brock and Jake and see if they are part of the future. - VANTEL
Agreed, and I think it will cost a 2nd to offload him if we pay the bonus first. |

It may also be possible to work a deal with Seattle to take him for an asset |

There is that too but then you are giving up an asset for this upcoming draft and not the following one.

Yeah he did.
I'll never forget Goldy dangling Doughty.
Watching OJ in the battles vs Baertschi, he seems to win most but it's mostly with his smart hockey IQ. It would be a nice part of his game if he could lean on a forward a little more often. If you can't get the puck, gotta at least slow him down a bit. |

Benning saying he wants to sign Podkolzin after April 30 and get him in the Canucks lineup ASAP.
--------------------------------------
But that would be past the TDL.... did they change the rules on play-off eligibility? |

it always amazes me that one of the most productive players who is already guaranteed the first line(where he was just dominant a few months ago in the playoffs) is still questionable for the future. What more does he need to do?! |

dont think it matters. if they sign him may 1 he still needs to quarantine for 2 weeks and reg season would be over. plenty of rookies make their nhl debuts during the playoffs |

I seen that yesterday on the Zoom presser. I was surprised he answered yes read into it. - VANTEL
He said it more then once. There is no pre-season to experiment with they got to be up and running. Going with what he sees working and sticking to it. |

Isn't that always the case with College signings? I assume this would all under that. Quinn signed his contract March 10th, after TDL of Feb 25, and still played games with the Canucks/Could have played in the playoffs of they made it. |

I thought they were going to get rid of the 14 day quarantine for NHL players to play in the interested of "National Interests"? Or was that fake news? |

Is he eligible for play-offs not playing/singed prior to TDL? |

You also said the exact same thing last year about Tanev Stecher and Markstrom with a guarantee that they would be Canucks this year.

Makar did it previous year. Vegas tried to do it with Gusev but instead he went to World Championships. |

Yes you can play regular season but there was a rule on play-off eligibility prior to TDL. |

id imagine so. or if it mattered they could fly him out asap to start quarantine and fudge up the signing date for the day after the season ends. |

The Feds did give the NHL exemption. Though NHL has a travel to city quarantine rule of 7 days to start the season. Probably will apply in season to players from other leagues coming into the NHL Covid protocol bubble. They haven't ruled on AHL yet. |

This eight-day training camp is going to go by in a flash!
For me right now, I think Travis Green is actually the most interesting character. He's fighting for his job just as much as any of the rookies.
New blog is up now:

Actually, i said it was quite likely Marky would get more elsewhere and was one of few to say so. I defs thought Tanev was coming back but think Schmidt is a good looking upgrade. I thought they’d keep Stech too, but Hamonic is an ok fill in until more kids are ready. I always liked stech, but he is what he is. |

I thought that was based off roster freeze which is after TDL. as an example TDL in 2019 was Feb 25 and roster freeze was Mar 16th. Which also explains why Hughes was able to play that year. |
