Regardless what anyone says. Our weakest link has been upgraded. Any GM would take Schmidt/Hamonic over Tanev/Stretcher any day of the week. After watching Stetcher lose 90% of his puck battles down low for the last 4 years and Tanev getting crushed every time the puck gets dumped into his corner and missing 10-20 games a year. I am ready to move on.

Its $780,000. More than just “an extra couple of hundred K”.

the extra was not losing it to escrow being sent down on his 1M salary.

Sounds like whoever did the math on that, went to the same school as Lefty.
With the 20%escrow and 10% deferral, Loui would be collecting 720,000 in nhl, the full 1 million in ahl.

Im looking for more on how it’s calculated, but in the meantime...

tried to tell him too but he at least got the part of the 59M LE has made to date. He's too well off to last in Utica.

Sorry Bloated, I have a hard time reading a blog that refers to Him Benning and quotes Harman Dayal.

The 20% es row comes off first, which brings his 1 million down to 800,000, then the 10% deferral comes off, which bring it down to 720, 000, if he is in nhl, the ahl doesn't collect those fees, so he gets his full million in ahl.

It costs the Canucks owners more money to send him to the AHL than keep him in the NHL. Which may dissuade them under the current circumstances.

I wouldn't call being a fan of a team since 1983 a bandwagon jumper just needed a liver break from all the championship celebrations.
Plus, I have some issues with how the game is played now.

I don't agree . You are telling me a decision will be made on who to send down if it is Loui and his 1 mil dollar salary or Lind and his 891 000 salary ? If our owner is making decisions on saving 100 K then we are screwed.

Edit Linds NHL salary would not even be 891 K it would be less 20% and then less 10%

That's dated and he has his facts wrong can't even put the right salary for next season too

Either way it would be fun to see LE squirm in Utica. He's stolen enough money and Canuck time. JB just has to stop being the nice guy and not afraid how it looks or potential backlash.

I was just about to post something similar.

Fuck Loui Erickson, I hope I never see him in a Canucks uniform again.

I probably won't watch if he is playing anyways, but that is besides the point.

That’s not what I said, it’s very simply going to cost Francesco more money to have LE in the minors as opposed to the NHL. That’s all I said.

That said, Benning’s said Eriksson still plays an important role defensively and he provides leadership, so I doubt Lind or any other kid will beat him out not named Hoglander. His experience makes him a better player at this point.

It’ll be over in another year and a half, not to fret.

Loui deserves to be in Utica . He has been on a four year vacation.

Have you been paying any attention to the America's Cup? The Prada Cup starts Jan. 15 and the America's Cup starts Mar. 6th. Amazing new technology with the new hulls and foils.

The difference in savings for Aquilini sending down Lind instead of Loui is approx 40 K

Lind isn’t a better player than Eriksson, at least until he proves otherwise.

With Juolevi in the lineup it looks like we’re 1.5 million over the cap, without Hamonic signed, thankfully Ferland has a mushy mellon
