Have you been paying any attention to the America's Cup? The Prada Cup starts Jan. 15 and the America's Cup starts Mar. 6th. Amazing new technology with the new hulls and foils. - A_SteamingLombardi
Now that’s a sport that has completely changed over the years. It’s unrecognizable from the days when Canada used to compete using a Bruce Kirby design (1987)

Lind isn’t a better player than Eriksson, at least until he proves otherwise. - Pacificgem
That is a different issue. The original statement was they won't send down Loui because it would cost more. The savings of keeping Loui over any player is about 40 K |

With Juolevi in the lineup it looks like we’re 1.5 million over the cap, without Hamonic signed, thankfully Ferland has a mushy mellon - Pacificgem
Or we could do what the Habs are doing and go with a 21 man roster

I don’t think they send him down, as I originally stated, because we don’t have any kids that have proven to be better and Benning would have to eat some crow in the media.
I also said it’ll cost them more to have him in the minors, which is neither here nor there, just that it will. |

Whoever gets sends down will cost more so that is not even an issue.
We will see who Canucks think are their best 29 players . I would send Loui down to send him a big Fuk You

Its not just Lind. There are more players this season to bump LE. But we'll have an expanded Taxi squad in January for some of them to prove it.
LE will be taxied until Utica is a real go and then JB can pull the trigger. If he doesn't last until April 12 deadline then Canucks will be in a great position to use his cap for upgrades. Now that's worth a few hundred more K to Aqua for sure. |

If enough fans boycott watching Canucks games, TV ratings go down, less money than what is coming in now, will be available.
We need to stand together and let Benning/FA know our demands. |

Not if they’re on two-way contracts it won’t. Lind makes 70K dollars in the AHL. Eriksson makes $1,000,000.00 |

That’s crazy. More like flying than sailing. When they introduced those wing sails it moved away from what I consider sailing. But don’t get me wrong, love the science in the new rigs. Love watching the intense speeds they are achieving in little to no wind.
Along the same lines I would like to see an Olympics with athletes juiced up to their eyeballs just to see what limits we can push the human body. |

This whole not sending players he signed down because he's saving face is BS. He had no problem sending down Sven... this is just Lefty/Gemma fake news.
It's obvious that he stays with the team because green has use for him. He states it often. LE kills penalties. It's a coaching influence. |

True, I agree, I just think the whole Loui Eriksson issue is much more polarizing. |

Give it up man you know less about how the cap works then you do know math. Just admit how wrong you are on Canucks cap situation to gain some respectability back. |

If Canucks are worried about spending 280 K on loui then they would not be signing Hamonic

To your point, With Eriksson in the minors and Lind on the team it costs the Canucks roughly 1.9 million, with Eriksson on the Canucks and Lind in the minors it costs the Canucks just over a million minus escrow and deferral.
The Ferland LTIR will give them enough room to sign Hammer. |
