Any Greyhound was a Dubas pick, and any Knight was a Hunter pick.

All other picks were done by an algorithm built into a spreadsheet hooked up to an Intellivision (with Intellivoice add-on).

After every pick, the voice simulator from B-52 Bomber would say "That was on target!"

(Yes, I realize that less than 1% of people will get this Intellivision reference - that's just how I roll).

I have an intellivision about 10 feet from me right now (actually 2, version 1 and 2)...sadly no intellivoice. but that b-17 bomber voice was so bad ..also intellivision hockey was 3 on 3

Dubas is a drafting stud.
- RogerRoeper

Let's wait for like, one (minimum) of his draft picks to become an NHL regular before we start calling him a stud.

I expected Robertson and Sandin to be higher up in the lineup. Seems like Robertson is on the 5th line and Sandin on the 4th defensive pairing.

We had the version 1, and IIRC, my brother maybe bought the version 2 (it was white with red, no?) at a garage sale for $10 years later.

We never had the Intellivoice (a couple of buddies did), but we did buy the Intellivision computer add on, which was a 100% waste of money.

Over the years, I've played the games again on various throw-back simulators, and sadly, they are all crap.

Just before Christmas, I bought a raspberry pi box with all the old console games, including Intellivision, loaded on it. I might be tempted to fire up Utopia, and maybe Truckin', but that's it.

Edit: I'll bet Skiing would still be OK - for 5 minutes.

Looked like the game was lost before they stepped on the ice.

Like it was a surprise that the US would give 100% on every shift...

- 21peter

I thought Canada came out like they usually did for the first few shifts but then the US stepped up and Canada didn't know how to react and got out played for two periods.

3rd period it seemed Canada was back to great hockey on the backs of Drysdale and Byram but couldn't beat Knight.

This plus the stars aligned for the US squad. Goalie was very good, and that defensive ploy - clog up the middle, clutch n' grab (without taking a penalty) and especially hold those sticks when in tight - Lou is smiling.

I honestly thought it was the best officiated international tournament I've seen. I had very few complaints throughout.

intv2 is a white or cream color, a bit smaller and more boxy.
but yeah, pretty much all the games suck. I just have them in my retro game collection...they just sit up on the top shelf in boxes collecting dust

I'll most likely be having a few brews on Friday for my 1st draft. Maybe on Sunday, too, for my other draft.

I like jabbing at the Leafs like everyone else here.

But Bogosian just won a stanley cup, bashing his past playoffs success sounds a little dumb.

I hope for his sake that the Vancouver fan is just trolling and doesn't actually believe his predictions.

It’s his fault and no one else’s that Atlanta/Winnipeg and Buffalo sucked.

Buy a battleship, and park it in the space where your opponent's new fishing boats would appear if he tries to buy a new one. Unless a hurricane comes through and sinks it, there's no way your opponent (brother) can move it, so he can't buy any more fishing boats.

It's the joy of this exercise - everyone is free to make whatever predictions they want, but everyone else is free to use them against you.

To be fair, I don't disagree with some of his observations.

And I'm hoping we get more non-Leafs fans to participate. Makes it much more fun.

It does seem a little strange that he picks Dermott to be the biggest surprise, and then later predicts he will get 1 goal and 5 assists.

His non Toronto, non North Division, and non Hart trophy predictions seem alright. That's why I was leading towards trolling.

I figured you wouldn't agree with his liking of Dermott.

But he also slams Snakevares but gave him 50 points, so...
