Actually, I think the "new" Senate seats today, the 6th. Or is suppose to, not sure of the rule with a run off.

I'm pretty sure the new congress and senate are both suppose to sit on the 6th, but I could be wrong.

Edit, just read that it is on the 3rd of January. Not sure about the run off but a Senators new term starts on 3, 2021 until 3, 2027
