John Tavares on #Leafs camp so far: "The intensity in the first three days here has just been extremely demanding. So it's good to regroup here today, get a few things done off the ice and back at it. It's been a great start for the group and we got to keep building on it."

Imagine how many great books will be written about this season Wedgie. Clearly it will be so great that the parade will actually be done in other countries as well!

good thing the whole Canadian division sucks ass, Leafs will have the best winning percentage ever, can't see them losing a game, actually can't see them not scoring at least 10 goals per game.
- Symba007

I don't think that's true.

I'm sure if Kirsten Shilton asked John Tavares what he thought of the Canadiens, he'd say:

"They are a good team - they've come to play. We need to respect them, but at the same time, we need to play our game. Just focus on doing the little things right: winning the puck battles, getting pucks in deep, competing every shift."

There will be off-nights when those last couple goals to get to 10 just aren't going in. Bad luck happens to all teams.

Dont be ridiculous.

They'll be lucky to get 8 goals per game.
Thanks to Dubanator they'll most likely only get 6- 7 goals per game.

Pfft.

Mitch Marner is determined to take his game (and body) to new heights in 2021. Explosiveness that would last deep into overtime. A more fearsome shot.

“He's as solid and strong as he's ever been. And as focused as I've seen him … He’s on a mission.”

These early camp comments are the best.

"Can't believe how fast he was"

"He's a tremendous player, I can see him having huge success on our line"

"He's stronger and better than ever"

Auston Matthews is going to get part-time PK duties with the #leafs this season.

Jonas Siegel
@jonassiegel
Among the reasons: His ability to win faceoffs (55%). Leafs were tied for 24th in faceoffs on the PK last season.

In light of what Tavares said, I think that may underestimating him a bit.

Damn it sounds like EVERY Leaf is going to have a career year! There will definitely not being any laziness, disinterest, poopty goaltending or choking in the playoffs.

- Aetherial

Jumbo Joe and Simmonds aren't going to put up with laziness or zero compete.

Methinks some optimism should be in order, amirite/amirov?
