those first few years the poop bear on tap was the worst part of TFC games. Afternoon games in the sun drinking Carlsberg or some other poop would send me home with a headache every time. Plus we lost a lot. - The Law
Horrible soccer, losing, bad Carslberg draft nausea...(frank)ing horrible vibe and I had only myself to blame... |

I just checked my liquor cabinet - I still have a bottle (2-3 shots left) I was given in the mid-1990s.
That's how delicious it is! |

Dude, I've listened to probably a dozen episodes. The Alex Jones episode was fantastic entertainment. If he had the opportunity to have Stalin's ghost on, he should do that too |

As we await further developments, it's time to give you fellas a little Wedgiemucation - tonight's lesson is on crazy violence in the Capitol Building.
In 1856, Senator Charles Sumner, a Senator from Massachusetts and an abolitionist, said some very, very unkind (at the time) words about Senators Stephen Douglas of Illinois and Andrew Butler of South Carolina.
Taking umbrage with Senator Sumner's words, Representative Preston Brooks (also from South Carolina) three days later attacked Sumner IN THE FRANKING SENATE CHAMBER with his cane, savagely beating him for about a minute.
Brooks resigned, and was immediately re-elected.
Sumner eventually recovered, and returned to the Senate.
Today, you can see a statue of him in Boston's Public Garden.
This had been an Atomic Wedgiemucation minute.
https://www.senate.gov/ar...enator_Charles_Sumner.htm - Atomic Wedgie I prefer the Hooker statue.

He's great. Interviewing all kinds of people regardless of their views increases his credibility imo. He's had people on the both sides of the spectrum despise, that's rad |

For us the 6 hour days has it's charm, just like the 19 hour days.
It's just an other rhythm and other things to do.
I rarely miss the Spanish climate.
How's the covid situation in your neck of the woods?

Things are ok here - relatively speaking.
Gotten really tired of all the restrictions -- fortunately we have a nice house with a lot of space, garden etc., so not as hard for us than for other people (big families in small appartments).
Starting to miss travel as well - normally traveling 40-50% of the time.
As for the climate - today is a special day here, since very grey and rainy - it's sunny 355+ days of the year. Personally I miss the seasons a bit - I love the transitions from Spring to Summer to Autumn to Winter since it provides some change; on the other hand it's nice to be able to be outside almost all year without the need for a jacket

well, now that you mention it... - yes of course I miss it from time to time, but to live there is not for me anymore.
Got my perfect little place here close to the fjord. Nice micro-climate and only a 10 mins drive to the city. Maybe I'll move back when I'm old, like my dad.
And the damn covid... 2nd wave here now, but we're doing better than almost any other country, so I can't complain and all mine are healthy. Miss travelling though. Stay safe! |
