My only political post (reaaaaaally want to keep it to hockey) on here will be the next proposal: let's try and get some clever stand up comedians run our countries instead of some career politicians -- seems like the comedians are the only ones left with some common sense..

so I'd go and live in a country led by Norm MacDonald, Bill Burr and Dave Chappelle..

Imagine how much we would have had to pay him if he got into better shape pre contract. 🤦🏻

Hal Gill wasn't bad at all. He invented the squid technique on the PK, which was pretty damn effective.

His years in Montreal, he had a very positive impact on the team.

I never said he was "bad".

I put Leafs Nation running Hal Gill out of town right up there with running Larry Murphy out of town.

We signed him for (iirc) about $2M. His role was to be the 6th defenceman and play on the PK.

BUT HE DIDN'T RUN UP 78 POINTS THAT YEAR - HE SUX!!!

He sucked so bad that in game 7 of the 2009 Stanley Cup final, the Penguins gave him 19:55 of ice time.

I feel like Gill got better with time. He improved his positioning and perfected his technique which made him a very efficient defenseman.

Really liked his addition after he won the cup with the Pens.

Sounds like in home schooling is going to continue. They’re aren’t going back Monday.

At least Lindor is playing in the senior circuit now.

Having said that, it's almost like Shatkins have zero inability to pull the trigger on a blockbuster trade. And when I say "almost" I actually mean none.

He would just jam himself in the net beside the goaler. Made Halak look awesome that 1 year in the playoffs.

Common sense is a dangerous thing, because most people who think they have it (or like to tout it) don't, and those same folks think that studies and policy analysis can be replaced with a 'common sense' logic exercises largely founded on ideological axioms.

Apparently, Hal Gill is a faster skater than Joe Thornton and Wayne Simmonds. Like, orders of magnitude faster.

I'm certainly not shocked by this.

To be honest, it makes a helluva lot of sense to keep it remote until the lockdown is lifted.

It's been a bit of challenge for us and our 7 year old, but we're managing. One of the only reasons it's been possible to manage is because my wife has been forced to shutter her salon during this lockdown.

Once the lockdown is lifted, if the schooling is still remote....

I feel like Hal Gill could be 1.1 times faster than Joe Thornton. Or just as fast.

Either way, that's not a compliment.
