Regardless - you can't storm political buildings, unarmed or not. I'm surprised only one person was shot.

Why is it that every other "demonstration" for the past year has had a much stronger security presence, but they had over a month to prepare for this - which absolutely franking everyone knew was going to be violent - and security were woefully understaffed and underprepared?

There was a bigger security presence to protect the Lincoln Memorial for a BLM rally than to protect the joint houses of Congress to exercise their duty for the peaceful transition of power?

They were franking ready to arrest and restrain disability activists in peaceful protest last summer, but were helpless and hapless yesterday?

Trump called for this protest to disrupt the counting of the Electoral College votes. And there was no National Guard.

Not the video I saw, although it did look like the same stairwell and hallway, the person i saw go down didn't have a backpack and In that video i heard more than one shot.

Can they doctor a video that much on twitter, the wife and i both watched it, someone walked to the door and a hand came out of a room on the other side on the left and shot that person through the window?

One was the vet in the crowd who was shot in the chest or neck. Another was this one you've described. There could be another incident that is being described that we've not seen.

Let me break it down for you:

Capitol Hill security are tasked with protecting the lives of the politicians who work there. They take their job seriously - especially since the terrorist attack in 1998 when a lone gunman breached security and killed two officers.

So when an angry mob - one that had been pledging armed violence on social media for days - breached security, the security officers launched their security protocols, which are to take the politicians to a secure inner zone. And they need to protect that inner zone with their lives - that is what they are trained to do.
