real question, for those who play in adult leagues, are you still playing? when did you start back up? I sat in March but the leagues opened in July, really little to no cases, would love some feedback? Thinking of starting back.

Answering adult league question....both my regular skates are shut down. Here in Ontario we are back in a total shutdown for a couple more weeks, but even before that the local arena’s were closed....was able to skate on the lake at my cottage though, although my 11 year old daughter didn’t stop a lot of pucks, so I’m not fully sure we’re my game is at.

Hard not to get excited for this team after reading AV’s transcript. Great to see Claude is hungry

Wow, that was a nice long refreshing read.

I had no idea that Morin was such a risk taker, not just with the physicality but with the stretch passes and cross-ice passes through traffic etc.

Provorov with Ghost makes the most sense in the short term. Playing with rock-steady Provy should allow Ghost to relax and get his confidence going.

It's more that he hasn't broken his junior hockey habits yet.

The thing I noticed from watching his few games as a Flyer is that he runs around a lot looking for contact, which really hurts at the NHL level. Stay in position kid.

completely agree but I think AV will struggle to not go with Braun and Hagg. I think that leaves Ghost on the bench. Based upon the end of last season, Braun should sit but the PK and Pitt up first...

We all know Pitt will have 5-7 pp first game

Its very good to hear that Patrick has been so good. I am very pleasantly surprised. I am also glad Oskar is playing well. I am glad that Giroux has a burr under his saddle. Too early to worry about TK's dormancy, I guess.

But what do you guys think of Frost's ineffectualness in scrimmages?

Maybe but a lot to ask. If Braun is not in the lineup then it leaves the PK dangerously thin on the back end.

Myers, Sanheim, Braun/Hagg, Provy. If one of them is in the box or you have a game where there will be a lot of PP's? With the short camp and long lay off, the bet is a lot of penalties.

He was steered away from that sort of stuff when he turned pro but sometimes he can't resist. I should clarify that the risks he takes the most often are looking for the big hit and risking getting too far out of position.

I would think his lack of playing has really stopped his progress in this area, then he added back for his toughness which feeds the issue

PK is important, but the vast majority of the game is played at ES, and that should take priority when assembling the starting lineup.

With that said, if you're up against a team with a lights out PP, then you sub Hagg or Braun in for Gus.

It's been kind of the same with Farabee, TBH. He's looked very good in drills but not as noticeable in the scimmages; at least from the offensive standpoint. Defensively, he's been reliable (as he was as a rookie). Did have an ENG at the end of the scrimmage yesterday.

I don't disagree but in a short season, a bad PK can mean missing the playoffs.

O I agree, I think if Ghost is healthy he should be given some rope to play. I thought that in the playoffs. The Isles showed that group of D could be forechecked and hemmed in. I like how ghost stops plays at the blue and anticipates in the D zone, the tradeoff being the one on one battles.

I still think Frost will have success in the NHL as a wing. He just seems more suited physically and skill set wise to be a wing.

and truthfully with Patrick healthy, there is no space for him at C. There is really no room at wing right now. I think on other teams he would be playing. Just tough, bad luck with with shortened seasons and bad timing on the depth chart. The kid needs to play
