Those teams could just send those players to the AHL team. Once they have cleared waivers, it’s an easy move.

I don't know if they can do that. The have to have a 3rd goalie and a minimum of 4 players on the taxi squad. Can they move players around between taxi-squad and ahl?
Been trying to find more info on the parameters of the taxi squad, but not having much luck.
