#Canucks defensive prospect, Joni Jurmo has been sent down to the U20 by JYP.
It’s been a struggle to earn ice and find success at the Liiga level so far. Seeing real minutes in the junior ranks is likely best for now.
At this point, he’s something of an enigma. So much raw potential, so little mastery of the game.
He’ll need plenty of time and many things to work out before becoming a viable NHL option

It's somewhat worrying on Jurmo's behalf, as Jyp's back-end is one of the worst in the league and there are this year's draft eligibles like Aleksi Malinen and Valtteri Koskela playing, and still Jurmo isn't making it.

There probably was quite a bit. RHD who put up points in the AHL in his rookie season. At the TDL though, they were most likely looking at him being a starter this season.
Didn't know they would have Schmidt and Hamonic on the roster now.
Maybe they should have though if it meant getting rid of LE.
I just visited capfriendly and realized lucky loui still has another year after this. 2021 instantly took a turn. For some reason i thought this was the last.
Also just watched Schmidt mic'ed up ... haha he's even more awesome than advertised. Feels like that old timer / dad just so into shinny. I bet he would pull up alongside LE with a 'hey big cheese'. Somehow making 50k more than me.

They'd definitely need a C back. Lots of other teams have more to offer and a bigger need. The Canucks adding another C that's going to command a bunch of money isn't up their alley I wouldn't think.
