I think they should send him down to Utica and then call him back up every 10 days.... keep him in quarantine the whole season, alone until his brain snaps and NFU gets his wish.

Hey Mungo,

I could possibly be interested in the dynasty league. Why not just post the details here on the thread ? If not and you're still looking then you can send them to me privately.

Thanks.

- golfingsince

Just sent you a message. If anyone else is interested it's a Dynasty salary cap league. You can keep 8-12 players a year with an increase of $4 to their salary. Every year we run an auction. Any players not kept become available at Auction. Highest bidder at auction gets the player. This year's Auction is this Saturday at 8am PST. Standings are Rotisserie style. Stats tracked are GAA, Sv%, Gkpts, Goals, Assists, PPTs, FOW%, Shots on goal, PIM+BS+Hits, and finally Points by Defenseman.

The league has been around 2003. Combo of Americans and Canadians. Always good banter on the league page if you are active.

a little premature for these guys to come out with any sort of rankings when teams haven't even made their cuts yet or finalized their roster even a little bit.

Thanks Carol. The new additions looking good in camp. Every team is high on what they got going now even the Sens.

Look forward to when the real game tests come and the Canucks can prove pundits wrong like they did in the play-offs.

The Score?

"Vancouver's bottom-six is among the league's worst, and its third pairing is barely replacement level following a disappointing offseason"

Funny, I thought it's been one of our best off-seasons since JB took over the reins.

He’s basing his assumptions solely on Demko and Holtby not being able to equal the goaltending Marky gave the Canucks last year. There’s some merit to that, I’m praying they can.

The team was bailed out consistently by the heroics of the now-departed Jacob Markstrom and still barely reached the postseason. It leaves a massive void in Vancouver's net that isn't going to be filled by Thatcher Demko and Braden Holtby. Demko turned heads in the playoffs, but his abbreviated run was a flash in the pan. He posted a pedestrian .905 save percentage in the regular season, and the Canucks played .500 hockey with him between the pipes. Holtby, meanwhile, was legitimately bad last season and his best days are clearly behind him.”

As in every season, the canucks success will depend on injuries regardless of the personnel. The fact that "hockey insiders" don't realize this by now is surprising.

Quote from Podkolzin's Flag of Russia teammate: "Vasily Podkolzin was a good captain for us, he motivated us and kept us going. Unfortunately, we couldn't follow his words of advice. We let him down... We didn't crash the net enough. Vasily did that, but we didn't."

I think people are downplaying the growth that will likely happen with these young kids. The Petey/Boeser/Hughes of this year are better than that of last year. Not a lot of teams have that internal growth. Plus, our D this year is better than last.

That said, Marky leaves a huge hole, and worse he's filling it with a rival. I'm still of the mind that a goalie coach can do wonders, and Holtby will bounce back a little while Marky slides a little.

Pretty much all the Canadian teams got better, it's going to be a gauntlet this year. Can see the Canucks anywhere from 2nd to 6th.

They also seem to discount the fact that the Canucks proved they can battle hard in Playoff style hockey. When you are playing teams 9-10 times in a season, it is as close to Playoff Hockey as a Regular season will ever get, many games being back to backs as well. Canucks proved, more than any other Canadian Team, that they thrive in that type of hockey.

I picked Canucks for 6th in the division and I ain't no east coaster. I think they are usually way off but they have nailed that pick this year.
Way to many of you guys look at our players and go wow, look at al the shininess we have, bunch of idiot fans we have.
