I don't have a problem with Rangers not televising a SCRIMMAGE, which is just really an amped up practice. Coaches can blow a whistle at any time to make a teaching point and shorten the "game" as they see fit. Rangers wound up only playing 40 minutes yesterday, if they had advertised and televised that, guys would be rightly upset.

Look, we're all just anxious fans chomping at the bit for some real hockey, but there's nothing to see here ( literally ) so lets move along...

I don't hate Howden. I don't see him in the top 6. He reminds me of Stepan without the offense. Not a great skater but good defensively and a smart hockey player.

I don't think many people see him as a top 6 player on the Rangers. It is not uncommon for bigger guys like him to take longer to develop. I posted his numbers and where he stacks up in his draft class to show that he isn't as bad as many portend him to be. Looks like he has worked hard and by all accounts seems to be developing into a better player. Let's hope he continues to do the work he needs to do to become a solid NHLer.

Yup. He seems like he could grow into a perfect 3rd line checking role. Going up against another teams top line.

Chytil is the one they really need to find out about. He either can make the jump to the 2nd line or they have to cut their losses. There is no room for him in the bottom 6 and he really doesn't play that type of game.
