To shoot poop.

And I'm not going to lie to you - it's fun as hell.

About a decade ago, we visited friends who live in Northern California. They are not right-wingers.

When the guy found out I had never shot a gun before, he and his buddy took me to a range. The guy we were staying with has a "good collection" of guns. His buddy is a gun nut. They brought their arsenal.

Off the top of my head, here's what I shot:

Two different assault rifles - ones that are now illegal, but were grandfathered in.

A rifle that was over 100 years old.

The Dirty Harry pistol.

A Glock pistol.

A really small pistol - which the guy informed me would be the type of gun you would buy your wife, because it has little recoil (confession - it was my favourite one to shoot, because I could control it better).

The shotgun that California cops have.

And I'm not going to lie to you, this libtard commie pinko loved it. Loved every one of them.

It was fun as hell.

My dad took me to the range once. It was cool, and I am a pretty good shot as it turns out. He has a .44 and a 9mm and a couple others that I don't remember. I liked his Walther 9mm.

I was very casual handling the guns, like turning around and talking to my dad and the range guy while still holding the loaded gun... they were not amused.

... the moral of that story is that I should have received much more instructions, even before going to the range!

.44 Magnum. That thing is a hand cannon.

The smaller one was a .22. Pew pew!

- RickJames77

They were laughing at me as I tried to squeeze the trigger - I was so terrified I was gritting my teeth and trying to keep my eyes open (they took pictures). It would be a stupid weapon to have as "protection" because you couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with it.

And I think my shoulder still hurts from the shotgun recoil.

Felt I should add: all guns locked in a gun safe when not in use.

He's a responsible gun owner. He takes that poop seriously.

- Atomic Wedgie

The thing is, in the States or most states they don't have to be.
Here every gun has to be in a safe or have a trigger lock.

I'm OK with people being reluctant due to the rushed nature. I'm not agreeing with them, but I respect their opinion.

Once Bill Gates gets mentioned, I'm out.

- Atomic Wedgie

it's one thing to be cautious especially off the length of time it took to develop but this goofiness is just bizzare.

But many people just have a vague idea that vaccines in general are dangerous. They don't know anything. I tell them (frank) yeah, and I got the flu shot already too and it's like I'm some kind of daredevil. They don't seem to be able to apprehend the dangers of Covid.

I was franking terrified - kept on asking the same questions, over and over. They just kept on telling me - always have it pointed out at the targets, and everything will be OK.

My dad used to hunt - long before I was born. He sold his shotgun to help pay for his wedding.

I would love to try hunting, but I don't know anyone who hunts, so I think that's something that will forever stay on the bucket list.

I grew up shooting hunting guns.

I had a 12 gauge mossberg. Killed a many bush chickens with it, and used to skeet shoot all the time. Shot many rifles, 7mil, .22, 30-06...

My uncles are rednecks. but they taught me gun safety. The most fun are using tracer rounds..

A friend's dad had polio as a child. It kinda removes any patience I have with anti-vaxxers.

As per your last sentence, I think poop is gonna get real in the coming weeks (it kinda already has). We are already way above the levels we saw during the last peak.

My cousin went through basic training with someone who broke their collar bone from the kick back of a shotgun. I mean, the person was totally handling it incorrectly, but it’s still crazy. She’s a marksman(woman? Is that a thing?) in numerous weapons. Just the most insane accuracy that was, luckily, only used once to warn a boat somewhere around the Persian Gulf.

I'm a Bills fan.

Bills are favoured by 6.5

So obviously I'm terrified.

yeah.. like when you see footage of anit-aircraft guns in a warzone..

you can see how the bullet moves through the air, and how far it'll fly straight.

From what I understand, nothing happens until the vaccine downloads the latest software upgrade, and that takes a few days.

That would be cool!

I have often wondered if I could be a hunter. I am not sure.

The list of viruses that have been eradicated by vaccines is incredible. Imagine living in a world with polio and smallpox?

Yes it's going to get (frank)ed very quickly. The more contagious variant is everywhere by now. The virus knows how to follow simple instructions, we don't.

Do any of the people who are suspicious about the length of time it took have any idea about vaccine development or what happens when all the pharmaceutical capacity in the world gets focused on one problem? It’s idiots being idiotic.

I'll be cheering for the Bills if they move on this week. I've been a Colts fan for too long though; way back in the days of Bert Jones and Roger Carr
