I've had a love/hate relationship with the Bills for 100 years.
We used to go to one game a year - an the rule was it had to be cold. We felt that if you didn't suffer in the cold, you weren't a true Bills fan. This was after their heyday, so I would always sorta hope that they would start losing after six weeks (when it was obvious they weren't making the playoffs) so that tickets would be dirt cheap.
Then, as you know, I started cheering for the Patriots in 2000. And I swear to goodness, it got boring. I get that they will be your team for life, but for me, I was "looking for new challenges" as a sports fan. I wandered back to the Bills (although I never really left).
I also cheer for the Seahawks, as I attend a game in the old Kingdome in the early 1990s. The fact that they now have neon in their uni's is just an added bonus. - Atomic Wedgie I knew you kind of rooted for the Pats, so I was a bit curious.
I appreciate the bold. I do the same thing if I get into a new sport or something. I don't like to pick from the top of the standings.
I got into soccer in '14 and just rooted for the first team I watched in the Premier League that wasn't a top 6. Actually, it was the first Premier League game I had ever watched. |

But many people just have a vague idea that vaccines in general are dangerous. They don't know anything. I tell them (frank) yeah, and I got the flu shot already too and it's like I'm some kind of daredevil. They don't seem to be able to apprehend the dangers of Covid. - Zezel
I'm in the vaccine business and I do feel these vaccines (' developments) are being rushed too much and are far from optimal. It is very likely these 2dose mRNA vaccines will not protect very long and we don't have a lot of safety data to go with.
Personally, I'm very hesitant to take the Pfizer / moderna vaccine for safety reasons - apart from the likely limited protection span. And I'm very pro-vaccines.
I'm very worried that negatives on the covid vaccines might have a big negative impact on other vaccines (the ones that were testes with a lot of scrutiny) and the acceptance of those.
I don't like it either that the vaccines are politicized.
Personally - depending on trial results, I'd feel much more comfortable with taking the sputnik vaccine, j&j or even the Bcg vaccine.
(Ps strictly technical speaking, the mRNA based vaccines aren't vaccines) |

I cheer for two NFL teams...
The Colts, because as a kid, I saw a highlight once on the sports news where they beat the Bills, and I hated Buffalo! I also liked the horseshoe
The 49ers because the first game I watched was 49ers/Rams. The Rams were easily the better team. My dad decided to cheer for the Rams, so naturally I picked the 49ers, and it stuck. (49ers lost)

What are the safety concerns with this one versus previous vaccines? How much more testing would be done under less pressured circumstances? Why do you prefer one vaccine over another? Why would an would this type of vaccine be different than other types? Genuinely curious here.

Football is a brutal ugly sport. If I’m going to root for a team, it’s going to be a team named for a poem.

Keep your area tidy.. And you wont get animals.
In muskoka i have a whole bunch of critters i was feeding back in the bush, just watching them on trail cam was a lot of fun.
Theres protocol for living in the bush, and country folks tend to understand the rules, and have few issues with wildlife. |

MRNA vaccine platforms basically havent gone through long term safety tests in big groups of volunteers. It's basically an experimental approach - which most scientists feel should be safe. However, there is a reason why vaccines and new meds normally have to go through phase II / III clinical trials that might take up to 5 years.
Some of the other platforms (e.g. the human adenovirus used by sputnik vaccine) is already used by 4 other licensed vaccines, that already went through these long term trials.
The big worry with the mRNA vaccines is that it might cause some auto-immune reaction if I understand it well.. |

Can't shoot them anyway. only time i see them is well after dark.
Not allowed to do that after dark.
Could get my trapping license, but then I need to tan the hide and use the meat.

It's funny how one country's piss is another country's premium beer.
In Canada, Molson Ice is for 17 year old boys who want to get as drunk as possible, as quickly as possible, for as little money as possible.
Amstel is considered premium in Canada - in Europe, it's for the homeless.
And then there's Corona... - Atomic Wedgie
No, amstel is still garbage here. |
