How can the the airports have thousands of people a day and sell booze for 24 hours a day and I can't have 3 people in my restaurant? Who runs this Government?

He's awesome.
If you got a chance to pick 3 people you could sit down with and talk for an afternoon, one of mine would be him. - Aetherial
I love Gilmour - he's my favourite guitarist of all-time - but he seems to have become a bit crusty and pretentious in his old age. Him (and Nick) basically shutting down Roger a couple of years back in a meeting to try to bury the hatchet and move forward (allowing Roger to promote his solo works on Floyd's social media sites, Animals Immersion set, etc.) strikes me as extraordinary sour grapes.
He doesn't seem particularly enthusiastic talking about Pink Floyd at all anymore (yes, there's more to talk about than Floyd... I guess?). Can't really blame him as he's talked about it for decades -- but there seems to be a bit of a surliness to him in his later years when the subject comes up.
I'd be much more interested sitting down with Nick Mason who seems to be enjoying the hell out of life.

There were guns around when I was a kid. I remember emptying a . 45 but forgot to put tge earmuffs on, ears rang after that. There was always a dead deer hanging in the garage or my uncles sawing a deer's head off, dozens of dead geese in the backyard. Wish they had tazers now - Zezel

Lest we forget Wal-Mart, Costco, etc. who can have 100s of people shopping as they are deemed "essential".
Meanwhile, my wife, who follows all of the guidelines without deviation, and works by herself only allowing in one customer at a time (for 1-3 hours at a time) simply must be shutdown. The customer's temp is taken, they must sign a COVID questionnaire, they must wear a mask at all times, they must sanitize hands and any devices. Not to mention, the salon is being video recorded at all-times. Good enough? Nope.
Gotta love the consistency and logic behind these protocols.

There's more than one side to a story especially in the breakup of an important band. The start of the break up ocurred when Waters kicked Wright out of the band. Both Mason and Gilmour went out of their minds. Waters is extremely talented but a bit of a head case. It was quite evident when I saw Pink Floyd doing the Animals tour (Montreal Olympic Stadium) Some crazy fan was throwing fire crackers on the stage and landng close to Waters' feet. He stopped playing and had a hissy fit for several minutes. Instead of concentrating on getting the idiot kicked out he swore up and down at the audience for several minutes. Show was still great but Waters could have handled it much better.

Yeah, except Roger Waters is a genius, and an bumhole, so he feelings there probably involve stuff we don't know about. I find as people get older they lose their filter. This is exacerbated by the fact that they don't owe anybody anything and aren't much worried about the consequences or their words or actions.
Yeah, he might be grumpy, but by all accounts he is a good guy, a brilliant musician and would be very interesting to talk to I think.

I acknowledge that Roger Waters was a fanatical douchenozzle. Him trying to legally wrest Pink Floyd from Gilmour and Mason was wrongheaded bs. He admitted as much quite a few years ago -- that it was a stupid mistake and he was wrong.
Per Wright, there are two sides to the story there too. Rick admitted he was contributing very little post-WYWH as he was in the midst of a marital crisis, depression, and coke habit.
As per the Animals tour, that's awesome that you were at the infamous concert where Roger lost his poop and spit on a fan. But, yet again, there's two sides to that story as well: shooting off fireworks during a concert and distracting the goddamn band is hooligan bullpoop. I mean, attempting to play a song 4x would drive me mad too. Not sure if I would have spit on the "fan" though.
It reminds me of comedians who are heckled and harassed while on stage. It's like, "(frank) you, buddy - I'm trying to do my job and entertain everyone but you're being a massive Richard." Nothing more irritating than some entitled asshat who feels like they should be able to interrupt a show to stroke their own ego.
Anyway, I'm not defending Roger as a particularly "reasonable" person. He sounds like a control freak dictator type who can no longer function in a collaborative way with equals. I suppose, to be fair, it was his drive that continuously pushed the band forward -- the rest of the gang was either not talented enough to move the needle (Mason), or lazier and less motivated (Gilmour and Wright).
But still, the breakup happened 35 years ago. Roger admitted he was wrong. The band doesn't have to tour again or produce new material together -- but Jesus, bury the damn hatchet Dave! (Nick gets a pass because he's still good friends with both of them)

Would be happy to talk to any of them. Problem is, they are so famous that a one on one conversation is close to impossible. Several years ago there was a Press/Conference for Ringo Starr at Casino Rama - I got an invite and there were maybe 200 people there. I got a few words in, that was it, and I'm not shy.
