Yup.
My wife contacted the virus and now I am showing symptoms. It was nasty for her.

Sorry to hear that, it's nasty. I'm feeling way better, but not the same yet.

What helped me was lots of liquid and as much sleep as you can handle.

Hang in there! All the best.

Was talking on Friday with a friend whose brother is a doctor. His brother recommended gargling with alcohol (or mouthwash with a high alcohol content) twice daily. Said alcohol helps kill the virus so your immune system has a better chance of fighting it and you don't get as sick. Maybe something to look into.

Hope you make out ok.

Whenever I get a bug I'll gargle with hydrogen peroxide twice a day, then rinse with water after.

Turned the Northeastern game on and 5 seconds later, McDonough protects the puck behind the net, passes it out front and Demelis scores.

Seen a post by Kuzma who is hinting (nothing certain) that a Canuck family member may have contacted CV

If you go back to the super bowl loss to the Patriots (where they had the best RB in the league with a fresh set of downs) and chose to make that pass instead there is a history of Carroll's favouritism towards Russell and many of the other players have been known not to like it. Probably some issues in the room there too. It's a factor. Surprised they haven't moved on from Carroll yet IMO.

Pete has put his money on Russ, completely. That was the wrong call against the Pats, but could see where they were coming from with the time remaining.

I think you hit on something, that a lot of the players that left (Sherman, Lynch, Thomas, etc.) were pissed with Pete from that point on not mainly because of the call, but because of his attitude afterwards (from what I've read). Basically his "always positive, never taking responsibility" attitude, which last season and truly this season have come back to bite them. Even in his presser yesterday he dodged questions about his performance/staff and put it down to the turnover game and third downs. All season after losses or bad games it was "we are better than this, you'll see, nothing is wrong, we aren't going to make changes".

Unfortunately I think Pete's dogmatic vision is hurting the team. He's a smart coach, really great with culture and the guys, but his stubbornness and declining abilities are limiting the team.

Can't disagree with any of this. Maybe they've tuned Carroll out. Changes will be coming, that effort was unacceptable.

Changes have to come. It's turning into sort of a time bomb, with the news that Schneider may be leaving. Does ownership go heavy into Pete's vision, or do they start to peel back Pete's influence?

I sure as hell hope Schotty is gone next year. To have such a dynamic group on offense and such a lackluster and unimaginative offense is mind boggling.

You need an O-Line, start there. Carroll calls the shots, he's regressing.

Need an O-Line for sure, but the way the offense had zero adaptation the second half is terrible. Could not scheme their way out of how defenses started playing them, and that's on Schotty (plus Pete, I suppose). One of the big reasons they lost: either run the ball or look for a deep shot. Nothing short or underneath. Basically played one mindset for the season.

Carroll is regressing a bit. I think it's more so the league has adapted and changed over the past few years and he just hasn't.

Right now it is reported he is healing wounds from the tournament. I think right now he is counting the days to sign here.

It is because he will be the first bottom 6 guy in years that cost less than a million.
