Sounds like his time in the KHL is over. Be interesting as details emerge - CanuckDon
Just reading on Twitter you might be right. Sounds like he might not play there anymore. I bet he told the coach to GFY . That makes me love him more |

Pete has put his money on Russ, completely. That was the wrong call against the Pats, but could see where they were coming from with the time remaining.
I think you hit on something, that a lot of the players that left (Sherman, Lynch, Thomas, etc.) were pissed with Pete from that point on not mainly because of the call, but because of his attitude afterwards (from what I've read). Basically his "always positive, never taking responsibility" attitude, which last season and truly this season have come back to bite them. Even in his presser yesterday he dodged questions about his performance/staff and put it down to the turnover game and third downs. All season after losses or bad games it was "we are better than this, you'll see, nothing is wrong, we aren't going to make changes".
Unfortunately I think Pete's dogmatic vision is hurting the team. He's a smart coach, really great with culture and the guys, but his stubbornness and declining abilities are limiting the team.
Changes have to come. It's turning into sort of a time bomb, with the news that Schneider may be leaving. Does ownership go heavy into Pete's vision, or do they start to peel back Pete's influence?
I sure as hell hope Schotty is gone next year. To have such a dynamic group on offense and such a lackluster and unimaginative offense is mind boggling. - NewYorkNuck
I remember reading somewhere that Carroll wanted Wilson to have all the accolades over Lynch in that final series of downs vs the Pats. The offensive co-ordinator came out and took the blame for the play call but really it was Carroll. Didn't want Lynch to have the spotlight over Wilson for the winning TD on the Rush...wanted Wilson to have it with the throw. Pretty messed up if there is any truth to that. But it wouldn't shock me if that was the case.
Carroll is a good coach no question...but I think he's tuned out in Seattle. Time for a change. |

Podz should have stayed in Edmonton and waited for the Canucks then "asylum" himself onto the team |

Cautiously optimistic that this is a good sign for the #Canucks. They’ll be back at practice tomorrow.

I'm ready for Pod.
The KHL isn't much of a developmental league at all, so let's just get our boy over here and see what we got. |

Hopefully he can somehow get out of his contract earlier. If his team doesn't want him, maybe he can just agreed to send some money back when he gets his first paycheck. |

Lots of rumours of Podkolzin leaving SKA after he was a healthy scratch yesterday, sources tell me, as of right now, the plan is for him to stay with SKA for the remainder in the season. |

🤞🤞 hopefully. But I guess we can all still take comfort in the fact that it really does sound like Vasili wants to be here (unlike crybaby Tree). But perhaps I shouldn't talk too soon since things can always change lol. |

As always, thanks for the consistent updates, man.
I don't post much, but I'm always reading, and I swear you're becoming my go-to for Canucks updates (and Carol, of course) You two save me a lot of searching. |

I would be more inclined to get him over asap if we didn't have Hogz raising hopes he could replace Toffoli this year.
If Hoglander doesn't stick, i suppose it would be good to get Pod a look.
Not sure there is room on the lineup this year is what i'm trying to say...especially for a bottom 6 role. |

Not sure what the legal move is as there is no transfer agreement. So if Podz is willing to burn his KHL bridges he should hop on a jet to Van. Its one thing for SKA to want a player to stay. Its another thing to mess with his career.
I've see enough of Podz play that he would be playing in Canucks top 9 from the get go on this roster. No problem to fit Rous and Motte in 4th line roles. |

Big Ben is never outta the fight, it’s not over until it’s over.
As the Navy Seals say, keep pushing forward, never quit, you’re never out of the fight, you’ll be fine. |
